Slept in till 9am, the had left over rice and veggie stew for breakfast. We don't have microwave, so I had to warm it up on the stove top. I went on the computer around 11am, then we ate the brunch that Hilary made: eggs, baccon, and potato slices, plus some garnola that Talia made.
Then we partnered up to do a team picture scavenger hunt by bike. I was paired with Gordon, and we did a pretty good job. We met the Mayor too!!!! He was at Main Breadt and Butter that day, so that really helped us out. When biked all over, and I kept getting freaked out when we had to ride on busy streets. We didn't think we would win at all. Once we were back at the house, we had to get all the pics off the camera and into a slideshow. Then we all hung around while we waited for Cindy and Talia to get back. Eventually they called, and we found out that a pedal on Cindy's bike had fallen off, so they were walking home.
I ate a wrap with organic PB, cream honey and raisins. Then I played some checkers with Michelle and played chess with Gordon, who powned me.....again......Then we fired up youtube. XD
When the girls finally got back, we went over our pics and truns out that Gordon and I did win, by a long shot! As a prize, we each got a mango (not ripe yet) and a big 2 liter health drink to share. And it was so GOOD!!!!!!!!! It wasn't chalked or gross at all!!!!!! Yeah for high quality! >//<
Then we worked on group contracts, and they were actually "contracts" and we had tons more than in Chisasibi.
Dinner was Shepherds pie, like the one Jaine made during billeting in Chisasibi, and Cindy shared her radish with everyone. It was pretty good.
Talked with Justin for a bit. He said he wanted to leave next week, and I was like Oh Nose!!!!!!!!! O.o
Then we all piled in the van and headed to Winnipeg for Nuit Blanche, which is an arts festival type thing. It was okay.....except for the fact that I ended up taking Catherine and Gordon on a wild goose chase through the city for the 2 hrs trying to find the other sites that were hosting events. It's a good thing we had a map!!!!! Eventually we found a site that had a band playing, and we had been texting Hilary and stuff and she told us to catch the complimentary shuttle to get back in time.
After catching the shuttle and hooking back up with our group, we went over to the St. Bonifacte (sp?) house and I met half the group. Then we drove home.
This blog is basicly to keep y'all informed about my Katimavik exprienace. Hopefully, I will update it regularly and it will prove to be very informative and enlightening. XP

Steinbach Week 13: Day 1: Sept 30: Library, Work Partners, YOUTUBE!!!!!, and childishness
Woke up at 7:30am, ate raisin bran with yogurt, then Michelle and I did some yoga/streching. XD
Next, everyone piled into the van, and we went to the library for a tour, unfortunately, due to renovations and stuff, they weren't taking a volunteer. The library was also having a "Catch Your Family Reading" Contest, where you submit a picture of someone reading and you could win one of 3 flip video cameras. The contest was for Family Week. (Steinbach has spmething like the highest average of books read per year per person.)
Then we did some work partner tours! We saw Rest Haeven - a retirment home, Anna's House - a resource center for pergnant women and young moms, 55+ - where Meals on Wheels operated, and the Meninnite Heritage Museaum.
Unfortunately, it was the last day the outside portion of the museaum was going to be open. After we finished our formal tour, though, Hilary let us have 20min until 12pm to run around and look at ever thing. IT WAS SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They actually had quite a lot of land, and they have this AWESOME fully-functional wooden windmill!!! (A remade version, as the original brunt down, but they bulit the new one using only wooden pegs and stuff!!!!!! O.o) They had a resturant that sold German/Ukraine food, and a General Store, where I bought some candy sticks and of flour made at the windmill!!!!! I'm going to freeze it so I can take it home to Dad! >//< I also bought some stuff for Michelle, who paid me back when we got home, and I contributed one dollar to Gordon when he bought some porogies, so I could have one. It was very tasty.
Then we went home for lunch, which was salade with hemp seeds, veggie soup, and we even had STORE BOUGHT CRACKERS!!!!!!!!!!!! O.o............wierd. Brandon gave me a watermelon flavored rockcandy. It was very sweet!
Then Mitch, a former Katima-victim, came over and gave us a bike workshop. We all cliamed bikes (mine was a nice red retro one without air breaks XP) and checked them to make sure they were safe to ride, then took 'em for a test drive. I'll need some more partice, seeing as I haven't used a bike in 6yrs, but I'll be okay.
Then I went on the computer for a bit and OMGZ!!!!!!!!!!! WE HAVE FLASH PLAYER!!!!!!! And that means YOUTUBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD I went nuts! After a while though, I switched with Catherine and I went to cut some veggies for dinner. After that, half the group took off with Hilary to run some errands, so I grabbed a map of Steinbach and took the oppurtunity to go look for the church I wanted to attened on Sunday. I took my player, and ate a peppermint candy stick on the way. It only took me 20mins to walk to the church, and it was right next door to SAC!!
Then I headed home, and at one point saw Vince leaving for a walk of his own! XD THen I could see setting in the park directly ahead, and started running towards it for no particular reason. It was a bit awckard to run though with my pockets weighted down.
So I hung around in the park for a bit. Sang a little here, danced a little there, spun around in circles, laid down in the grass......generally acted like a kid. That park really reminds of the park that was by my house when my family lived on 19C Camerone Cres though. .......What with the hill.....^_^
After that I went home and played in the sand box.
Yes, we have a sand box.
Dinner was fired rice and a salade made out of beats and feta. The Porject Support Leader(PSL) and PL (from St Pierre-Joilly) came over and highjacked Papa Hil.
I played Twister with Catherine, Gordon and Justin for around an hour. Then I went to have some of Michelle's hot chocolate, but turns out it was actually Oveltine. Ate some bread and butter (no margarine.....) and some home-stlye rashpberry jam from Main Bread and Butter.
Then I helped Talia do her strach and wins.......I don't think any of them one........*shrugs*

Week Tweleve: Day 7 : Sept 29 : More Group Travel!! Arrival in Steinbach, and work tours.
My alarm went off at 5:30am. Michelle and I relucatntly got up and packed our bags. Then we went to the lobby, grabbed the curtousy breakfeast (I had a blueberry muffin, a cinnamon pastry, a bagel with cream cheese and some appel juice.), and then checked out. Michelle and I caught the 6am shuttle with Catherine and Cindy. the others were all going to get there stuff together and checkout, 'cause they'd been out all night visiting Cindy's family.
When we got the airport, we got our tickets, and I paid $22 to check a second bag. We even ran into the group that was headed to Chisasibi and had just come from Steinbach!!!! Two of the girls in that group were from the Queen Charollet islands!!! Which I thought was just so funny, 'cause I had recently finished "The Golden Spruce", and now I wanna go there!!!!!!!!!! >.<
Then we headed over to security, and I forgot to empty my water bottel!!!! Luckily the gruad/attenand person let me chug it. -.- Blauh! After that though, I set off the metal detector, so they had me go in the swirly x-ray machein thingy.....and I can't figure out for the life of me what set it off!!!! o.O
On the 1st flight, I sat next to Catherine, in an Isle seat by the emergancy exit. It was really sad thoguh, because it was only 2minutes before we started our decent when she and I reliezed we could watch movies!!!!! o.O We really wanted to watch Cars 2.
We had and hour and a half lay-over in Toronto. They have a very nice airport! I ate a blueberry scone from starbucks, and I was super lucky that it was under $3 because that was all the cash I had left! AND my debit card wasn't working!!!! It hadn't worked in Montreal, so I had to pay the $20 extra-bag fee with cash! >.<
Our flight to Winnipeg got slightly delayed, but it was fun sitting around in the airport. We must've looked like a pretty interesting group!!! XD
Once we got on the plan, there was an issue with a family of four wanting to sit together, and then a couple who had those seats still wanting to sit together, as a result, I ended up moving. I still had a window seat though. So no big deal. *shurgs* I got to watch Cars 2 and OMGZZ!!!!! >.< It was so EPIC!!!! XD
Then we were in Winnipeg! Alice the PC was there to pick us up with one of her friends. Us girls were really mean though, 'cause we all introduced ourselves with the wrong names......>.< I went by Michelle. But we all pilled in the van and headed for Steinbach, which was roughly an 1-2hrs drive.
When we got the house, the 1st thing I did was claim a bed, and I got a bottom bunk!!!!! XD YES!!!!! No more jumping up and down!!! Not that I would've needed to, 'Cause both beds had things next to them you could climb on, but it was nice all the same. Then we had lunch, which was like a wrap-thing. Mine had cucumber and tomato and lettuce and 3 kinds of delie meat! XD. I even had a little bit of mustard. Then there was CAKE and garnola!!!!!!! >//<
Then I changed into the new shrit I bought at Northeren for the work tours, which made no differance 'cause I wore a sweater. 1st we visited El'Dad Ranch, where the treated us to cookies and juice. There were some dogs there too, even COWS!!!!! O.o Then we went to SAC - the Steinbach Arts Council, which is basically a rec center, but for the arts instead of sports. They have two possision there. One for the per-school and one for the office.
XD I snagged TONS of borchures. LOL
Then we got home. I unpacked my stuff, changed the sheets on my bed, grabbed another sweater and some "play" glasses from the over group's "leave behind" box. Then I started some laundry. Then I went to the park out back and had some alone-time. And yes, there was singing involved. ;)
Dinner was 4 cheese vegitarina lasuanga with salade and garlic bread. There was also some super wicked tea the Hilary, our new PL , made. I claimed a new cup! I checked the comp really quick, and then we had a meeting to discuss our 72hrs off that we'd be having over Thankgiving weekend. I might miss out on the big meal after all. T.T After that I had a shower.
AND NOW I CAN START ATTENDING CHURCH AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD

Chisasibi Week Tweleve: Day 6: Sept 28: Locked down! Saying Good-bye, and the Complications of Group Travel!
I woke up at 7:30am, and was gonna go back to sleep, but when checked my phone for the time, it said it was "locked"!!!! And today we are travelling!!!!! O.o Oh boy! So I spent an hour starting to write out all the possible 4 digit codes and entering them into my phone. T.t I ate some bread with cream cheese and the last of the fruit salade with yogurt and vector, then went on comp for a bit, and weighed all my bags again. Then I went at the phone problem for another hour. So much number crunching!!!!! o.O
Brunch was French toast, baccon, melon, and grapes. Then I cleaned the girl's bathroom, helped bring in the food donations from the night before, and started loading the van with luggage. I went with the 1st load of bags to the airport, to watch 'em and stuff. I checked my bags right away, but then we had some complications with how'd they'd get transferred to our other plane. We worked it out though. Chris came with the rest of the group, and we tried to have Hippy Time, but ended up having to leave for our plan. (Dran CGT!!!! Because it got postponed our schedule got all messed up T.t) I did get to hear what Chris wanted to say to me though, and he gave me the chocolate to split between the group later.
As we left the run way, I looked back at the airport, and I could see a bunch of people lined up by the fence watching the plane take off. It was all our friends (I know 'cause of Chris' bright red shirt.) THere was Chris, Jack and Elizabeth, Julia and Melony, and I think Colette was there too. Safe to say Michelle cried when I pointed it out to her.
Unfortunately, our trip was not ll that smooth, I mean, as far as being up in the air, we were fine, but there were some major delays when we got into VAl d'or. (Air Creebec did at least feed us lunch though.) Catherine called the travel service line for Katimavik, and we told them we were more than likely going to miss our Montreal Flight to Winnipeg. They said to call them back as soon as we could, but that wouldn't be till we landed in Montreal. As we were landing, there was some confusion the group as to whether or not we wanted the flight attendant to try and get us off the plane 1st. I told her not to bother, but we decided to try to get to our gate anyway. We made it, only to find out that the Winnipeg flight had been delayed by an hour!!!!!! We totally could've made it! But, as fate would have it, Katimavik had already gone ahead and cancelled our tickets and couldn't re-instate them.
We all went to the baggage claim, and grabbed our stuff. We met Vincent's parents, and waited for the shuttle to take us to the same in I had stayed in the 1st night with Talia.I waited for the second shuttle, because we couldn't all fit in one.
Catherine made a LOT of phone calls for us that night. There was some "tension", okay, well lots of tension, in the group.
When we got to the hotel, I had a room with Michelle. After we set our stuff in order, she went off with Justin to see about the mourning shuttle and calling her parents. I sat down and started journalling, then Catherine came in and turned on the TV. ( She didn't want to be alone in her room.) She and I proceeded to have a very emotional heart-to-heart about the whole day, and how stressful it had been, especially for her, because she had made all the phone calls and stuff for us. She even called me a Psychologist at one point! XD
After a while, Michelle and Justin came back, then we all trucked over to the vending machine to get some sustenance! I got sun chips and a raisin oatmeal cookie! XD
I think travelling in a group of 10 is a bit hectic. Maybe 2-4 would be good, but such a big group is a bit......challenging I guess.
OH YEAH!!!!!! I got my phone unlocked while we were flying out of Val d'or on Air Creebec. The number was 2412, which was the last 4 digits of my phone number. Chris had tried to give them to me earlier, 'cause we had the suspicion that might be the default, but he gave me the wrong number. *shrugs* Either way! I got my phone unlocked, and then reset it, so it wasn't locked any more. And yes, I did write out all the codes up to 2412 by hand.........I guess it's pretty reasonable that the others called me crazy! XP

Chisasibi Week Tweleve: Day 5: Sept 27: Chisasibi's Got Talent!!
UP at 8:30am. Ate taco meat, bell peppers and cheese. We started taking stuff down off the walls, and washing them. Chris was a little miffed that we weren't reading the instructions on the cleaning supplies.....Ooops.
For lunch we had butter tarmagine and couscous. I went on the comp for a bit, then around 2:45pm, I went over to the school, which had finally re-opened. I tried to find Janie and talk about the leather, but she was in a meeting. Naydine wasn't in the Library either, so I still have her spare keys...When I got back to the house, Jack and Elizabeth were there with their kids. After they left, we started plating food up for tonight for our healthy canteen.
Dinner was bread with PB and honey and fruit salade. Then Chris went off to pick up the GRAND CHIEF OF JAMES BAY!!!!!!!! He was at LG1 and was willing to judge for us, he just needed to be picked up! Unfortunately, that left us in a bit of a lurch, with no one to take us to set up the space, Luckily Colette stopped by (she had some of our food I think) and she graciously drove Gordon, Talia, and I to the Mitchwap Centre. We were able to set up chairs, and the sound guys where there, but we hadn't really been prepared to start registering people, but they started showing up, so we did.
Finally! The rest of the group showed up, and we got all the food and everything else set up! After that, we still had to wait like 20min for CHISASIBI'S GOT TALENT to start. I was a runner near the beginning, literally!!! I was running to get more chairs!!! It was SO packed, we even had people who crowded in the back and stood the whole time! I was a little stressed out the near the beginning, but we had such a good turn out, and everything went so well, that I couldn't help but rock out with everyone else!!!! And omgz!!!! CHISASIBI HAS GOT TALENT!!!!!!!!!! woot woot!!! XD My fav act was probably when one of the girls from Gordon's billet family and her friend went up and danced to "Its a hard knock life" from Annie!!! XD
After the we sang our song and gave out the prizes, man you should've seen the rush for the door when we said it was over! *rolls eyes* We did some clean up...well.....I didn't help as much as I probably should have......The Northern lights were out when we headed home. Had a shower!

Chisasibi Week Tweleve: Day 4: Sept 26: Denvor's B-day and the Blanket ceremony
Woke up around 7:30am. I tried going back to sleep after eating, oh, I don't even remember! But that didn't happen, so I went on the computer and blogged(not this entry!) and FBed and read manga and stuff.
Lunch was grilled cheese, some of which had balony. Then I headed down town with the grocery shopping crew (after helping with the apple crisp) and went to Janie's, but she wasn't home, and wasn't answering her phone. I have no clue what I'm going to do about getting leather for finishing my moccasins.....I went back to Northern and bought that shirt I'd been eyeing for like a month. Got a wonder bar too! >.< Ran into Chris who was buying some cloth, went and talked with Michelle who was waiting in the van, then walked home. The shirt I bought is SUPER BIG on me!!!!! It's a good thing I have a belt, at least that makes it looks kinda stylish. XD
I read my Bible a bit after that and finished Leviticus. I sang a little too, then actually napped in the sun for a bit.....and my memory doesn't seem all that great today......*shrugs*
Dinner was at Jack and Elizabeth's for Denvor's B-day. we had moose, rice, fryed moose, our Caesar salade and macaronic salade, and our vegan chocolate cake w/whip cream, and our apple crisp. We played some video games with Denvor, and tried to put the baby to sleep. Unfortunately, I was on my moon-time, so I couldn't attend the blanket ceremony they were doing for those who had missed the shake tent, so I got asked to take Denvor and Baby Girl to the Katimavik because they were misbehaving and they didn't want them to interrupt the ceremony.
Catherine went back to the house with me, and Colette drove us there. We saw Northern lights on our way, they were very green. The baby sitting went okay, except that the neighbours came over saying we were being to noisy. (We had two young kids! what do you aspect?!)
We everyone got back, Elizabeth had driven over to pick up her kids. Apparently the blanket ceremony was really intense and frightening. I'm not sure whether I feel relived that I missed it, or if I feel rather upset. If I do feel upset, it'll be because I missed out on a group experience, so I won't be able to relate with them on the same level any more........... *sighs* We'll see.
OKAY!
So, I am home now. No more busy schedules, no more crazy late nights. I am going to finish posting my journal entries, as I do want to try and get this linked to the Katimavik blog, because I know reading ones before I left help clam me nerves. That, and then my group mates can read it! XP
So, it's really late and pretty far behind, but here I go!!!

Chisasibi Week Tweleve: Day 3: Sept 25: Post Sercerts, and Guests
I woke up at 7:30am, and ate some bread with butter and chocolate chips, then went back to bed. I woke up again at 11am because some kids were yelling out front. I read manga on the computer till lunch, which was crepes again. Then Catherine, Gordon, Talia and Chris all went to do the gorcery shopping while the others did the daily tasks. I cleaned the upstairs bathroom, and even bleached and scrubbed the shower cuirtain, and I actually managed to get most of the pink stuff off!!!! ^//^ YEAH! After that I read my Bible again, I don't think I'll finish it while on Katimavik, I'm still in Leviticous! T.t......
Later, Michelle and I read some managa on Talia's laptop and I found out we had a book called "Post secerts: a life time of secerts" ion the house. I read it, and OMGZZZ, some of those were so sad!!! Some hwere just plain weird, but wow, talk about an inside look at the human experiance! O.o If youever get the chance, I recommend reading it!
Sang out back for a bit.
Dinner was bannock taccos, with home made salsa, and there was oroogala salade. Colette had helped cooked the bannock, so that Brandon could teach her how to make it. It was funny too, because she has the same gray Chisasibi pants that I do, and we were both wearing them! XD After dinner I went out back and sang again, till it got really dark out. Lady started fighting with a cat too. When I went back inside, I found that JAck and Elizabeth had come over with their kids. They invited us to attend a blanket ceremony, for those who missed the shake tent ceremony, but I can't do (Moon Time). I am veyr thankful I made the sweat yesterday! >//<
THen we had a reflection on the competancies. We made a chart poster thing, and we laughed a bunch near the end. I talked with bRAndon about some stuff related to CCK and the committees. Then tried calling Dad,but he didn't pic up, so I journaled and tryed again later, but still no answer, so then I tryed Mom, but nothing.
I ate some bannock with butter and jam, then had a cup of tea. I talked some more with Brandon, and then Dad called back, and I got to talk to him, Dawson and Mom. I love tea. >//<

Chisasibi Weel Twelve: Day 2: Sept 24: Debrife! and The Last Sweat
I got up at 7:30am, ate some left over breakfast sasuage, and went ot make some bread, but because there was a risk of the water being contamiated (from river) I boilded it. I didn't wait long enough for it to cool back down though, and I think I must have killed the yeast. .....oops. I ate some yogrut with a plum and some gramm cracker crumbs in it, which was very tasty. Then I went on the computer for a bit.
At 9am, Michelle woke up, and she, Chris and I all hopped in the van to go get water from a natural spring that was 40km away. (We had to get speacial primission from head office because it was so far, but they approved it due to the circumstances.) Catherine was going to come, but then she slept in.
I really enjoyed the trip though. Chris even took Michelle and I for a little bonus, but that's a secert. ;) (It was so sweet though!!!!!! XD) The well we went to was an Artision well, which was basically a pipe sticking out of a hill, with water constantly coming out of it. It was so cool!!!!! XD Literaly too!!! I stuck my head under and had a drink, it was so refreshing!!!!! I slpashed my face too, and OMGZZZZZZ there is nothing like it!!! WE filled up two big containers, and then a couple small jars. And I don't know about you, but I loved that exprienace, it was epic! XD
On the ride back, I sat shotgun, and the three of us had some pretty good discussion.
WHen we got home, it was obvious that my bread did NOT rise, and wasn't going to. So I just baked it into a kind of flat bread thingy. For lunch, we had Mac and cheese, and there was also the leftover mushroom pork and leftover hashbrowns. GOrdon and I did lunch dishes.
After lunch, CHris persented us with his de-brife scheduale, and after some discussion, we did our reflection for CCK that after noon. It envolved us drawing pictures about what CCK had been, what it was now, and what we hoped it would be, or "awesome" vs. "not awesome". We were put in groups, I was with Brandon and Vincent, and we each did our own sets. Mine was all about bread, considering my fail from that morning. I think my pics came out pretty good though. I didn't think CCK had ever been awesome yet though, so I titled the 1st picture "not awesome" and it was dead bread and some pieces of carcol, which might have been cookies, and two people crying. It was also drawn with very drak colours. The 2nd picture was titled "slightly less not awesome" or "aka better" and that was a picture was of two loavs of bread, which you could at least eat, the two poeple weren't crying, and there was a littel more colour envovled. The last piture was "The futrue? AWESOME!!!!!" and had two beautiful loavs of bread, some bannopck, some cookies, and some pie. There were tons of colours, and a TON of poeple all ready to party! XD
(The reason I explained the pics was 'cause I liked them, but let Chris keep them.)
After wards, everybody went over what they had drawn. There were some very......interesting contirbutions.
Then I tired making some more bread. While it was rising I went out back and sang. WhenI went in to check the bread, I went out front after, because Justin was meditating in the back............yeah. I mean, this group is great and all, but it would be kind of neat if when you went to the next community you got a whole new group of people. I snacked on the 1st batch of bread.
Dinner was rice, stry-fired veggies, and chicpea salade. I did some prep-work, and then the group left for our activity -the last sweat in Chisasibi.
This sweat was very, intence, I think God might have actually spoke to me. .......If you wantto know more I'll tell you in person, because I don't really want to post the details. This sweat was definetly the hottest I'd been to, and I still never laid dwon during a round. CAtherine and MIchelle both recived their spriti names.
When we got home, Brandon had cooked my bread for me (I think he stayed home 'cause he was sick....) but it had a HUGE air bubble in the top.......it looked really funny......I ate some bread with butter ans chocolate chips, had a shower, then ate some maccaroni.

Chisasibi Week Twelve: Day 1: Sept 23: The Water Shortage and The Big Shut Down
Got up at 7 am and had a shower. Ate some yogurt with rice crispies and some bread with cream cheese. I decided I would buy my lunch at the take-out place in the mall, because the fridge was so packed with food I was very thrilled about, and I didn't feel like scroungiung around.
At work, I started by scanning the ISBN numbers on a whole bunch of books (finally! more work!), and I was planning to finish the magazines in the afternoon, but at 10am we where told to go home because they were closing the school. Now, the reason for this was because the resivoir was draining, (which ment there was a leak somewhere) so the town was now on a water shortage, and when that happens, all public bulidings must be closed due to safety reason. (eg. no fire sprinklers) We also learned that ONCE the leak is found and fixed (who knows how long that will take) it will then take 3 days for the resivoir to fill up again.
When I got home, I learned that Chisasibi's Got Talent(CGT) was also "postphoned" because, of course, we were going to be using a public space. I was also really lucky in regards that I had a shower that morning, and washed my sheets right before we heard on the radio that we weren't supposed to do laundry, or have shower, or use dishwasher, etc.
It was really hard on us that CGT got postphoned, we even thought we might have to cancel it! Luckily, while I was blogging (not this entery), some of the others in teh group went out with Pauline and sold the fuirt smoothy cups we had made, so they didn't go to waste and we were able to make some porfit even! I think....*shrugs*
But yeah, backtracking a little, on my way home from work I bought two butter trats at the general store (no raisins! >//<) and then when I got home, I blogged TEN enteries!!!! TEN!!!!!!! I am still three weeks behind though (I don't even know how that happened T.t) I also swept and cleaned both bathrooms before I sat down at the computer. We had crepes for lunch, some sweet, some savoury. Then I was really litless, and couldn't settle on naything to do, so I sat in the closet and texted Mom. (.......yes, I sat in a closet, it was actually very cozy XP)
We had cerpes again for dinner, and I made some snowflakes out of paper. Michelle and I noticed we were running low on the water we had quickly got that morning from the tape, so she and I took and pot and hiked dwon to the river, filled it, and hiked back carring it between the two of us. We also had a dog escort the inter way. XD BAck at the house, I put my sheets on my bed, then Michelle and I read "The Bride of the Water God" together. I remeber why I liked that one now >.<
THen I ate the last of the yogurt with cronflakes. XP

Chisasibi Week Eleven: Day 7: Sept 22: Mailing Take2 and Mini-Concerts
( Brandon says Rawr! and LOL XP )
I woke up at 7:30am, and ate puuffed rice with yogurt and bread with cream cheese. THen set out to work while carring my box! Michelle carried it for me for a bit so I could rest my arms. >//<
Moring work was slow. I ended up staying in the library while others made Trukish bagels with Tony again. I brought WAY to much spaghetti for lunch, so I left half for after work, but I ended up eating half a bagel anyway. They were HUGE!!!!! I gave the other half to Naydine, she liked it. ^//^ After lunch, I started working on reorganizing and "eliminating" magazines, which was a BIG task for the secondary section. Espicially for the ones like The Economist, who have multiple releases per month. I did quite a bit though, I only have to more shevling units to do tomorrow!
After work, Talia went over to commericail center with me, so she couls walk home with after I mailed my package. We ran into Cindy, and I waited for an hour but I got to mail my package! I weighted 6kg and cost $23.06, which wasn't to bad at all!!!!!! O.o
When we got home (safely) I went out back and sung a bit while petting Lady.
Dinner was breakfast. We had grated potato hashbrowns, baccon, oranges, sasuages, bread with cream cheese and eggs.
I went out back in bear feet again, and ran into some neighbourhood girls who were trying to retrun a "lost" dog. They were having tourble walking it, so I took over and went with them. As we got up to the house, it's owner actually pulled up in a truck and told us the dog was "not lost" but that they let her roam. When I got home, I listened to my MP# player and sketched a bit.
Then the group did some prep for Chisasibi's Got Talent tomorrow. We partciced the song too. Two locqal men also came over to visit, and for some reason, I ended up singing "You are my Sunshine" for/with them. I also sang a church song for Cindy, who said something about me sounding like Mandy Moore. >//<

Chisasibi Week Eleven: Day 6: Sept 21: Almost Mugged, Beading and My Box
I got up at 7 am, showered, and had puffed rice (I think with yogurt.......?) and eggbread with butter for breakfast. I worked on my beading, but got a little too caught up in it so left a little bit late. My MP3 didn't charge porperly either, so no music on the way to work. T.t
Work was slow AGAIN!!!!!! I printed some stuff off, which invovled using the memeory stick and going to the computer lab upstairs because the library computer ran out of ink.......we are very low on supplies....-.-
It truned out to by a 1/2 Ped Day at the school though (like a Pro-D day), so after lunch, which was rice with chicken and an orange, I spent the afternoon reparingbooks. AND I had to reshelve ALL the books the pre-Ks took off the shelves. What a mess! >.< Oh, there was also a meeting, so when it was done, I had to put the chairs back, and I spent WAY to much time doing it. But I did end up making really cool Polygon-based shapes! XD I made a gaint triangle, a long rectangle, a circle (well, not really) and an inverted circle. ^//^ It was pretty fun. I also set up the chairs so that they were in ratios by colour, because there were some that were yellow, and some that were brown.
On the walk home, I was "cornored" or stopped by the side of the road by two young looking guys. And I KNERW they were scketchy!! I wanted to pass them as we were crossing the road so I wouldn't have to talk to them, but I ended up stopping to tie my shoes, and then a car came at the wrong time, so I was cuaght standing at the edge of the road when they crossed over.
Their names were JAmes and Laurance, and I don't know if they were drunk or high or WHAT! BUt I felt harrassed. Not to mentined offened!!! (I feel awful just typing it up and having to read about it again.....ick...) The James guy kept swearing his head off and saying B*** He wanted to call out "all dem Katima- B***s, and said that we (Katimavik) needed to get out of town and "disappear," To which I said that we were in fact leaving in 2 weeks-ish (but I didn't mention the new group, oh, and because I am so far behind, I can also tell you that one of the guys in the group after us got mugged.....so.....yeah....) James also said something about slapping the A****s of B****s and at that point, he was in my space. Laurauance also said some stuff about a gang raising up soon. I finally got away, saying that I'd be late for dinner, but I almost stepped right out in front of a car.
I was desperate though, they were completely in my space, LAurance in my face and James coming up behind me. I was so tempted to smack James one with my metal water bottel, which I had in fact started carrying in case I needed to hit anyone. Luckily it didn't come to that.
Right after I got home, and I guess I looked pissed when I came in, 'cause people where asking me questions right away, I talked to Brandon about it, then to Chris. I felt a lot better after talking about it. I told CHris about it also as a safety thing (which didn't seem to accomplish much......-.-" Not that it's Chris' fault someone got mugged! Not by any means!!!) And it was funny too, 'cause Brandon said, "Step out and have a smoke with me." He totally sounded like a counciler when he said it too!! XD
Gordon and I did dishes togeher, so I got to listen to Florance and the Machine!!!! XD Then I had some hybiscous tea.
I finished my beading! XD Yeah! I had some hot chocolate, and ate more egg-bread with buuter!
Then I called Mom. I also tried calling Dad at Young Adults but with no luck. T.t So Mom called the buliding, and told Crystal to tell Dad to call me. BUt he never called back. After that I helped CAtherine seam-ripe her moccasins (without a seam ripper!) because she sewed something on backwrads.....which as kinda my bad for not giving enough instruction....?
I also put my box on the table after dinner so that everyone could sign/draw on it! >.< Chris even drew a picture! Itwas pretty good too! XD Unfortunatly, Talia altered the KAtima-logo, which it specifically says NOT to do, so if I get sued, she'd better be ready to hear some knocking. XP
Dinner was Porkchops with mushroom gravy and rice. It was SO GOOD and helped chree me up SO much! There was also a salade. Michelle also brought home some chocolate cake from work. PUaline ate over with us.

Chisasibi Week Eleven: Day 5: Sept 20: Mailing, and The Final French Activity
Woke up at 7am. Ate cereal with yogurt and added in some wheat grem. Then I tryed some packaged cream of wheat stuff, but it was nasty. I worked on the beading a bit.
I spent the moring at the school working the the backery with the others from the group and Tony. We made 8 loafs of braided egg-bread,4 with poppy sead, and 4 with seasemi seeds. We got to use an industrial dough mixer too! It was super cool! While we were waiting for the bread to rasie, I went and completely re-organized his supplie cupbroads....... ;D LOL I think I might have OCD.....just a little.
Anywho, we got to eat one loaf fresh out of the oven, with butter, and AHHHHHH!!!!! >//< !!!!!! IT was SO GOOD!!!!!!! I gave a piece to NAydine and she liked it too. Lunch was white rice with cheese and sandwhich meat (ham), which was actually a very statasfying lunch!
Work was SO slow! Being out of barcodes and circulation sheets sucks!!!! T.t Espicially when I know I COULD be doing that work, if only we had the supplies!!!! T.t
After work I mailed Elise's letter, and it only cost me $2!!!!!!!! O.o THAt was so much less than I was expecting!!!! Espicailly since it was international! (........ That's actually the 1st time I mailed a letter at the post office itself......>.<) I do still expect that the package home will be expensive though.
Back Home, I worked on my beading and did some prep for the French Activity. Ate some bread with cream cheese.
Dinner was a Tonnie Thrusday theme thingy. We had some really good chicken with fires, there were also grapes and strawberries, and bread. Jaque from MSDC (CAtherine's Boss) ate with us.
THen there was more prep to do for the French activity, which envolved a lot of tape and cinfusing number orders. XD But CAtherine and I got it all figured out! I think it went SUPER good too, for the energizer and the active treasure hunt bit (So much laughing and running!! XD It was great!) My group finished 1st. XD
At the end, everybody got chocolate.
Unfortunately, Chirs' friend Chris had challengaed us to attend a church group that night,.... dran mandatory french activity! :P
Before going to bed, I started the leaves on my patteren for the beading.

CHisasibi Week Eleven: Day 4: Sept 19: Good-Bye, Memory Stick, and the Final CCK
I got up around 7:30am and cereal with peach yogurt. I went on the come and packed my bag for work.
Work started off pretty slow. It was a block where the libaray was closed, so I was gonna repair books after taking care of some Katima-paper work. While working, I saw Julia go to the office, so I ran over to remind her about getting the song from the radio station (her work placement), only for her to tell me she got kicked out of the porgram that morning. I was shocked! I was just kind of....blank.....I repaired books till lunch when I started top get a bit more energy back.
Lunch was cream cheese with spagehtiiee again, but this time minus the fork....yeah, that was messy. I also ate half a cucmber. I AM SO PSYCHED TO HAVE A MEMORY STICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is so awesome! I also wrote a poem-song thing after a really long time of NOT writing and it felt SO GOOD to write again!!
Then I went to the commercial center to look for green beads for my moccasins, but they didn't match the other ones I was using. I didn't mail the letter to Elise either, though I had it on me........>.<
Work was pretty chill that afternoon too. At 2:15pm I went to talk with Tony about the backery tomorrow morning!! BAck at the library, we have TONS of books, but we ran out of barcodes and circulation stickers, so now there's almost no work! T.t
When I got home, I worked on the beading. Dinner was chicken, rice, veggies and salade.
Because we didn't do CCk the night before, we had it now, and I think it went pretty well. It was really fast for a change bacuse we have very littel time left here, so Chris will be planning most of our activities during debrief. During "Chris Talks", he mentionded the stuff about Julia, who had already left the house to go stay with Melony (who she billetted with). During Varia, I told the group about my desier to go to church in Steinbach, and it seemed like everyone would consider it.
Chris was also bugging me about him giving me a CTI (Commeitment to improve -which is icky paper work that you don't want) for being, basically, "awesome". XD LOL
After CCK, Catherine gave me a pancake, which I ate with butter and icing sugar, and there were more jokes made at my expance. Luckily they were cheap! XP (.....if that makes sence...O.o)

Chisasibi Week Eleven :Day 3: Sept 18: 48Hrs Off and Box Prep
Woke up around 8am. I started a batch of bread, washed some dishes, cleaned a bathroom, swept, anddid a load of laundry. I worked on Elise's letter again, and then re-packed the box I am mailing home to my parents. I also wrote a list that explained every single thing in the box! XD
Then I had a shower. I also ate cereal with yogurt, bread with with icing sugar, bread with PB, and noodles with in this time. (Breakfast AND lunch!) When I finsished my shower, I worked on the beading for my moccasins.
I went out back for a bit, and walked aournd in the sand in my bear feet, which was SUPER fun!!!!! >//< I was wearing my white dress with the butterflys on it too, and it was super windy! XD I was out there for around an 1hr. :P
When I got back inside, I took the box I was gonna mail home and drew pictures one it. The box looked so plain and lonely with just white, so I made it more colourful! XP After that I helped with some planning for the final French Activity we are going to have in Chisasibi.
Dinner was spaghetti with chicken, asperigous, and a dessert cracker thing Julia brought home. I also drank some hot chocolate that Michelle made, which was so good!!! It was also really nice to have so many people at dinner, because it was during the 48hrs, so it wasn't mandatory. The conversation was pretty good.......for the most part..... >.<
Bauze was visiting all day, and I really dislike his swearing. Has he no respect?
The 48hrs off ended after dinner, and we were supposed to have CCK, but Chris had left earlier in the day, so we couldn't start with out him. We worked on our Katima-song instead. I think we got a good amount of work done. After that I did some more beading till 10:40pmish, and I am really happy, because when I started I was worried that it was truning out weird, but now I think it will be okay.

Chisasibi Week Eleven: Day 2: Sept 17: 48Hrs Off, Beading, and The Shake Tent Ceremony
I selpt in till 9am!!! Yeah! XD Ate rice crispies with yogrut for breakfast. Then went on Face Book, Gmail, and manga reader. Worked on moccasins. Had sphagetti with cream cheese for lunch. I also ate bread with buuter and icing sugar at one point, and I made tea, but forgot about it so it was cold when I finally had it......T.t
Then I agreed to play Risk, which was stupid 'cause I wanted to go to JAnie's with MIchelle so JAine could actually SHOW me how to do the beading. I was sewing during the game though, so I finished the lining. And I was out the door as soon the the game ended. (Nobody won, we just all got tired of it.) I speed walked to Jaine's, and Michelle had to jog to keep up (sorry!). Jaine showed us what to do, and also suggested adding beads to the top of the linning. Then I started beading, which was super hard! I was wondering why Michelle was having such an easy time (after breaking her 1st needel XD) and then, right before I had to run back home to go to the shake tent, I swichted over to the kind of leather she was using and OMGZ!!!!!!! It was SO much easier! So I took apart the pervious hour of work, and started over T.T
RAN home so that I'd be back by 5pm 'cause I didn't want to be left behind. When the house got in sight, the van wasn't there. I felt very discouraged. I ate some bread with PB and honey, and asked the people in the house if Chris had left already. They said he better not have, 'cause they wanted to go to.
Eventually Chris got back, and we all went over to Jack and Elizebeth's for 5:30pm. I expected we'd leave from there right away, but we stayed for around an hour and a half. We watched Borther Bear, which was awesome. I also got to eat some meat, cheese and mushroom sub which was super tasty!
We had a bit of a scar though when Denvor left the house without anyone noticing. We all went outside and did the whole search party thing. I ran all over, but by the time I got to the house he was already back.
Then we left for the shake tent ceremony. I didn't end up asking anything. I had been textin g with Mom and Dad about it, and Mom made the point that God would tell me my spriti name in person, and I thought that would be a BILLION times better than having a thrid party tell me. It would be so worth the wait to have God tell me my name himself! (Not that I dislike the name Sarah, I actually like it a LOT but....you know.... >.<) *breaths* I just feel excited thinking about it! >//<
Anywho, I helped serve dinner before the ceremony started. There was moose stew with rice in it, bannock, grapes, apple slices and oragne juice. The actual ceremony was pretty intense. I don't know if I should give you a lot of details. The ceremony did take place at night 'cause it needed to be dark, and the tent shook quite a bit (it was smaller than I expected....) Three Grandfather spritis came to visit, and a couple people cried after getting their answers. We also weren't supposed to hear what was being asked, or what the answer was (none of our business) so we had to talk to cover it up. I was sitting next to Justin, so I pretty much just forced conversation with him......well......I was really talking AT hime for the 1st bit but whatever. We even talked about making form that the committes could use for CCK! Talk about random! There was one break, and I think everyone in our group who wanted to ask a question did. Although Catherine had two and only one got answered.
When we finally got back home, I ate some toast with butter and icing sugar, but the toaster set off the smoke alarm.......1:15am

Chisasibi Week Eleven: Day 1: Sept 16: The Great Search and The Cheif
I was up at 7 am and had a shower. I ate 2 bowls of rice cripies, one with vanilla yogurt and one with blueberry-blackberry yogurt, and toast with Pb and honey.
Work was good. I am gonna miss it, and Naydine. She and I talked (in french!!! >//<) for 1hrsish about working in libaries and such. I think I might seriously consider it as a career. Apperently its not a feild that's in danger of colapsing due to updates with technology. XD
At lunch, I went to find Janie RIGHT as the beel went off. I went around the whole school and didn't see her! So I sat out front facing the school and ate my lunch. I figured if she left I would see her go. I ate spagethiie with cream cheese. By the time I finished it, I still hadn't seen Jaine, so I headed for her house and ate an apple on my way over. when I got to the house, Janie's husband let me in, and I played with Eli for a bit. (He is so cute!!!! >//<) But Janie wasn't home. Her daughter called her, and it truned out she was still and the school!
So I went back to the school and searched all over!!!! I still didn't find her. I ended up at the front of the school, and looked out the window as I truned to go back to the library, and guess who I saw. Janie! I walked back and met her as she came in the front doors. It was a bit tiring, but we had a good laugh. Then we went upstairs, and Janie explainded to me what I needed to do for the beading.
Work that afternoon was fine. I went to the cafatireia and bought to oven-fresh rasphberry turnovers, a dollar each. They were very good. I gave one to Naydine. (Naydine also gave me a muffin!! >//<)
Went home and sat outback in the sun and drew some pics.
Dinner was pizza. Then I tired the "tell me more" software that Katimavik provides for second launage learning.
Then I went to my second sweat. CAtherine and I both chipped in $10 and bought a 24case-lot of water, which I then porceeded to caryy for a good 2 blocks (not that they have blocks, but you get the idea). I felt very......manily.....*sshrugs* We met up with Chris, Talia and Justin, and I still insisted on carring it! XP i don't know, its kinda nice to feel strong every now and then. ;)
Michelle and Gordon went to babysit Jake and Elizabeth's kids so they could go to the sweat.
The sweat was good. I actually didn't leave between the 1st and 2nd rounds, but did after all the other ones. After round three, we ate they scarficies: cranberries, blueberries, fish, salmon, strawberries w/blueberries and water. The 4th round was extermly hot, but despite that I almost feel asleep twice near the beginning of the round. Afterwards, it was very emotional for Catherine.
When the sweat was over, I sat in the sweat lodge longer, and Chris and I ended up talking, well, listening really, to the Cheif. He said the reason I almost fell asleep was 'cause the Grandfather spriti had touched me....The Cheif also just talked to us about life and stuff. It was really cool. I really got a sence that I was being taught. (you know, the whole"at the feet of the master thing") He also made referance to the Bible.
I would really like to see more of that kind of teaching in the church. Less formal, everyone sitting very comfortably, and one person who everyone respects is speaking and that person is very knowlagdeable. .......I don't know, it was just a really cool experiance! >.<
We all walked home in the dark. I showered, ate some toast with PB and Honey, and also ate a small bit of sphagetti with cream cheese. Then I checked Face Book and email befor eheading to bed at 1:56am.
............so late...............-.-"

Chisasibi Week Ten: Day 7: Sept 15: The Pipe Cremony
Woke up at 7:30am without my alarm. Ate cornflakes with yogurt and toast with cream chees again. I also ate an orange, drank lots of water, And actually took one of my iron supplements to try and prevent mid-day triedness like yesterday. I also took my water bottel to work.
At work, I found a graphic novel series called the "Elsewhere Chorincals" and I am postive that it is by one of the artist from Flight!!!!!!!!! >.< I also showed flight to Naydine, who ordered them on the spot!!!! XD AND volume 8 came out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >//< I wonder if Mrs. Bruleson got it for the school yet......not that I can check them out there any more....I'm gonna have to order them for myself. But anywho! The Elsehwere Chornoicals are awesome!!!! I can't wait to get my hands on part 5!!!!!.......once I find it........
My frist half of lunch was spent talking with Justin as we cut out some lamenating. Apperently he is planning onw writing a books series, based loosely on his own life, and he is goona add us into it!!!!! : D It also has to do with genectic engenireing and stuff. It sounds very cool!!! >//< I really hopes he gets it published so I can read it!!!!
Work was pretty standard. I still till 5pm, EVEN THOUGH Chris had come by the school and had told me that we could attened a pipe ceremony that night, but we had to leave by 5:30pm. I managed to get home just in time, by running of course, but when I got there, the food we were taking to the feast wasn't even ready, and no one had made bannock. Michelle was the only on who wouldn't be able to attend the ceremony, because of her moon time. We also had to wear skrits.
I texted Dad before we left. So much for no electronice week.
At the ceremony, the pipes didn't get passed, which relived me 'cause I REALLY didn't want to have to smoke one. There were 8 poeple there with piepes in total. Half where women and half where men. They sang two songs and then we ate the feast. Brandon got back from his party at the daycare just in time for the food. There was our stew, bannock, bread, apples and bananas and then goose, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cupcakes and jello with whipped oil. (It was not cream at all!!! ) Now, the ceremony was taking place because there were apperently two teenage spritis, one boy and one girl, that were trapped in that house because they didn't relize they had passed on. IN order to move on, they needed to eat, that's why they held the feast, and we didnn't actually ate any of the food, the spritis ate it through us............(hun-huh).........
After it finished, Jack's wife did a give away. I got a tup-o-ware container for the house, and then someone said I needed to grab a pair of socks because I was wearing to mismatched ones, not only in colour, but also in length. (one was a knee high ^//^") We hung around upstairs afterward, and found out that Jak was hosting a shake tent ceremony, where you can ask question, like who is your spriti guide and what is your spriti name, etc. The ceremony will be on Saturday, during our 48hrs off, but Chris said he will ask Vrigine if he can use the van if enough people want to go. I wanna go and ask for a spriti name, but I don't know if it's......acceptable.......??????
One we got home, I ate some of the chiken balls and Bradon brought home from his party, and for whatever reason, the laudry wasn't done porperly so our sheets were still wet. I also spent 1 hour or more sorting out mini-coloured glass beads that Iwas stupid enough to mix up. (Sttttttuuuuupiiiiiiidddddd!!!!!!!!) Ate 3 more chiken balls and then Michelle also gave me a biscuit!!!
Made my bed with fresh out of the dryer sheets. 12:08am
Chisasibi Week Ten: Day 6: Sept 14: Daisy and moccasins
Woke up at 7am and had a shower. Breakfast was cornflakes with vanilla yogurt and toast with cream cheese and an orange. And it was real toats, not bread wramed up in the microwave. *rolls eyes*
I wokred a bit on my moccasins before heading to work.
The morning was so busy!!! I was cataloging, labeling, and checking out books to multiple classes.
Lunch was sloppy joes meat (very sweet) with bread, an apple, and an orange. Then I sat dwon, and managed to cover 3 pages of Elise's 8 page letter.
In the afternoon, I got super tired. I think it was because I was dehydrated. Work also got really slow, well, except for the per-Ks. We also had a student in the trades progamme working with us, however, he is evidently disabled, and he can't perfrom any pf the tasks Naydine gives him...... We are hoping his teacher can find a better placement for him. And there's still no word on the bakery.
I was stupid and didn't bring my rain coat to work, so, of course, it would be raning after work. I ran home.
I ate bread with butter and icing sugar when I got home. Dinner was sphgattie with salade and cheese. Our guests were Moelony, Pauline and Daisy the deputy cheif of police. She told us a littel about Chisasibi, then we all took a picture with her and our Katima-table. (The one that has "Katimavik" pianted on it.)
Janie came over to help us with our moccasins. I finished one lining, and am now waiting on leather. I also need to come up with a desing to do in bead work on top of my moccasins. Ate more bread with icing sugar.
