Chisasibi Week Nine: Day 3: Sept 4: Excrusion - Part 2:Rain Day and SMORES!!

I woke up at 7am, and sharing a bed with Michelle was okay, if you don`t mind being squished up against a wall. Again, my sleeping bag is wonderful!!!!! >.<  No one else was up yet, so I went to check out that room of old clothes, and I don`t know if it`s because of all the clothing exchanges we did at church or what, but I started folding and orgainizing everything........(-.-).........yeah....I managed to get through half the room. It was super cold though!!!! Haha, at one point, Catherine came in, but I had my back to the door, and since she was tried, she spoke very quietly. She said my name once, and I heard it, turned around and didn`t see her (guess she was still outside room) so I wet back to folding (I`ll admit I was a little creeped out) and then she says my name again, but she is RIGHT behind me. I get startled, jump/flinch and trun around, which makes her flinch. XD It was pretty funny.  I was in the clothes room for around 2 1/2 hrs.

Then I finally went over to Slyvains, hoping  for food. I found Chris and Stacy were already there. Slyvain offered us hot water for tea, and Chris grabbed a cup for me, and it was a super nice cup! Good and big with a good amount of colour and a nice strong handle. :D

We didn`t eat breakfast till 11:30am, and it was eggs, baccon, fruit and bread. I kept walking off too, `cause I had finshed my breakfast early. I`d walk down to the lake and parise, yeah, it was sunday. :P

After breakfast was over, I headed back to work on the clothes room. At one point, Gordon came in and said something like "Let`s go for a walk" and then left again really quickly. Now, I`m not sure why, but I got the impression that was our group activity. Eventhough everyone else had apperently aggreeded on free time till 1:30pm. Anywho, that ment I took some time grabbing my stuff, and I also told /invited Justin to come. But when Justin and I went outside we couldn`t find the group that had left for the walk. So he and I just started walking up the road. We eventually caught up to them, and we all went to see the Lake. One our way back, it started raining harder, so by the time we got back, we were SOAKED!!!!!! O.O

When we all  showed up soaked, Slyvain asked if we had a fire going in the wood stove in our cabin, we said no, and he said we needed on so that when we came in out of the rain we wouldn`t caught a cold. We also found out around this time, that the night before after most of the group had gone to bed, someone left a candle near the stove and it started to dissolve, so that when Slyvain came around to do a safety check (which he almost didn`t do!) there was layer of candel smog that hovered from about 3 feet off the ground all the way to the celeing!!!! We are super lucky!

Anywho, I went over to help start the fire, but I didn`t really have anything to do, so I went back to the clothes room and finished it up. I got like 8 pieces.

Then we ended up with more free time, so I went and put my shoes by the fire, in hopes they`d dry out. And bunch of us hung out and lounged around by the fire. I sat on my sleeping bag after folding it in half so if was very fluffy. ;P I even ended up telling them the storie of Billy Goats Gruf! Someone would make a smart comment about not being 5yrs old anymore. *rolls eyes* It was fun though. We also told a bunch of life stories and jokes! XP

Then everyone fell asleep by the wood stove, including me. I had my player though, and I was always consiously arware of what song was playing, so I wonder if I ever really fell asleep. Justin stayed up and kept the fire going for us. 2hrs later, Talia came in and woke everybody up, saying that dinner was ready. She had cooked it all by herself!

Dinner was spicy sausages with bread and cut veggies. I was on clean up.

Then I went for an other walk with a different group configuration. We went to the lake again, and this time there was a lot of sing-a-longs! XD It was very fun. When we walked back, it was drak out and we had touse flash light!!! O.o XD

When we got back, some of us played crazy 8s. Then we all headed back toour cabin to make smores, which were super good!!!! We had so much fun too, `cause everyone got hyped up on sugar. XD I wrote the enter in my journal by candel light! It was epic!!! XD I have also been rocken`the 70s look all day with a ear-band warmer, and sweater and my hobo glove!!! ;D

Right before bed, everyone spent like 3mins saying "goodnight" to everyone and everything in as many ways as they could think of!!!! XD It was halarious. Girls are sleeping on floor tonight.

Chisasibi Week Nine: Day 2: Sept 3: Excrustion - Part1: Arrival

Woke up at 6:30am to make sure I`d be to leave on the excrusion. Ate couscous with yogurt, which was pretty good.  Also had an orange, and bread with PB and honey. Then I blogged a bit (NOT THIS ONE!) and helped pack/clean up the house. Before we left, I quickly ate the rest of the couscous with milk and sugar, the way Brandon suggested, because I didn`t want it to be wasted and thrwon out when we got home.

In the van, I had a nice chta with Justin bafore falling asleep. When we got to Camp des Pins, we unloaded all our stuff, and ate lunch, which was sandwhiches and cut up veggies and a plumb. Then we all went for a 2km walk/hike thing to look for mushrooms, which I sucked at. I mostly held the lesh of a dog named Brownie. He was the only dog with a lesh; I believe he`s a hunting dog from the south. There were lots of others dogs too, only, they`re wild and half wolf because Slyvain`s husky dog got rapped by a wolf...............yeah...................

Got back, and the whole group hung out in our cabin and just socialized. Then some of us went to help Sylvain stack wood.  Then I started collecting fire wood to make a fire so we could cook our dinenr. There were 3 of us trying to prep for dinner, and when I found the others guys, they going through a TON of old clothes that Slyvain had in the back room of our cabin, apperently he said we could take some stuff.

For dinner, we had "tin-foil dinners" which were really good, despite them being put together randomly, or at least, not the "proper" way. But it all cooked and tasted awesome! So s'all good.

Then Michelle took off to rekindel and get ready for the french activity of Loup-garur. (like Mafia) Julia joined us, and we talked about love and stuff. (Girl Talk!!!! XD lol) Then the rest of the group showed up and we played loup-garur in french for the 1st time, in the dark!!! XD It was also Michelle`s 1st time playing. But MAN!!!!!! It was SO fun!!!!!! XD >.<

Then we saw EPIC Northern lights. They were SO BRIGHT and GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!! And there were SSSSSOOOOO many stars! We even saw a shooting one! It's really funny too, 'cause Talia, Michelle and I were all walking together, and when we saw the shooting star, we took off running after it for no apperant reason. XD Of course, we stopped pretty quick 'cause I remebered that if we ran past anyof the dogs and startled them, they`d attck us, like they did to Gordon when he ran by earlier in the day and they ripped a piece clan out of his jeans.

Now I have to share a bed with Michelle for the night, 'cause the girls are sleeping in the rooms and there aren`t enough beds. Guys are sleeping in common area on the floor.

Chisasibi Week Nine: Day 1: Sept 2

I woke up at 7am. Again. Before my alarm. I think that might mean that 7am is my natural wake-up call.....or something.......Breakfast was bread with PB/honey, an orange, and yogurt with puffed rice, and tea! XP

Work was lots of labeling, stamping and card/book scanning, not much shelving. (Did I mention the scaner beeps every time you use it? >.<) During lunch, I read the magazine 17 again. I even skected out some of the outfits, then created some of my own! XP

Lunch was leftover baked veggies and shook aa min (fish with blueberries).

More labeling!!!!! But I like the work, it keeps me busy, and I feel porductive. Naydine is also showing me how to repair books. At the moment, that means I am taking a knife to certain books and removing all the pages. :P

Library closed right at 4pm, and then I was stuck walking home in the prouing rain, while my brand new yellow raincoat sat in the closet at home. *rolls eyes* Not only that, but earlier in the day, Chris had stopped by the school, and offered to come back later and give us a ride home! *sighs* I would trun the offer down! But the walk wasn`t really that bad. When I got home, the 1st thing I did was change out of my wet clothes! I just hope my shoes dry by tomorrow. (Random note: take the in-soles out of your shoes to help prevent athelets foot! the moisture needs to escape!!!!! O.o)

At home, I did some more fashion designe stuff, at more bread with butter and icing sugar, than one with chocolate chips. Dug up my carry-on out of my suit case so I can use it to pack for the excrusion.

Dinner was dry ribs with salade and couscous.

After dinner Justin lent me his pencil caryons and I coloured some of my designs. >//< Very cool! Then I sang out back for a bit. Ate some bread with PB and jam. Then the group got together and we all prepared food for the weekend trip. I cut bread and packaged carrots and potatoes. ^_^

Gordon let me play his bag-pipe CD for a bit!!!!! >.< I really don`t see why people get so touchy about it.........

Chisasibi Week Eight: Day 7: Sept 1: Mural Day!

Up around 7am, ate oatmeal with PB and honey and FEW chocolate chips. Played solitaire.

Walked to work with Michelle.

In the morning, work was super slow, so after checking books out to one class, lamenating and the mroning break, I was able to go over to the class of a teacher named Michelle and help her put a mural up on the wall of the classroom. Sinces she teaches English, everything we put up was like quotes and stuff, words that inspried the students and made them feel good. 1st off, I just painted something up for myself, 'cause I thought of it this morning and thought it was pretty good: "It's not just a matter of you believeing in them. It's also a matter of them believing in you." When I originally thought of it, I was thinking about parenting, but I guess it applies to a lot more than that. >.< Then I helped paint up some stuff that the kids wanted, and ended up using a latter. XD

Lunch was an apple, but I ended up throwing it out 'cause it looked moldy. I also hadthe leftover soup from the night before, although there wasn't very much.

Right after lunch, it got SUPER hectic, 'cuase we had 2 classes signed up for the library and an extra one just went ahead and showed up. Naydine wasn't there either, because she had to take her son to the dentist. After all those classes left, Denise closed the library for the rest of the day. I spent my time after that labeling, shelving and bar-coding.

I got off work right at 4pm, so I went over to Northeren to look at that shirt I wanted. I didn't buy it though. I ran inot non-PL Chris who was coming over for dinner, and on the way home, Brandon caught up with me, so we walked home together.

When I got home, I snacked on bread with butter and icing sugar.

Dinner was Shook Ka Min, which is a traditional dish of fish with blueberries. There was also an intence salade and baked veggies. We started dinner a bit late, so before we had finished, Olivier and Stacy had already showed up for our luangage lessons. Those went okay, after we had a quick jam session with non-pl Chris. Michelle also tatooded my arm with pen. It was very pretty. >.< OOoooo! I should've gotten a picture! Oh well.

Then I called Mom, and we talked about how, if I get a boyfriend, it would be better if he were a christian, which is veyr ture but kind of sucks. And I'm still wondering wheather or not an arranged marriage would be totally crazy. ......Alright, it would be totally crazy. But that's that. .........ARG!!!!!!!! T.t

Ate some bread with butter and icing sugar, and anyother piece with butter and chocolate chips. And I found where all the currants disappeared to!!! They were in the bread!!!!! >.<

Chisasibi Week Eight: Day 6: Aug 31: James Baie James

Got up around 7:30am. I had raisin bannock with butter, spiced bannock, and bread with PB and honey for breakfast. I found out after that we DID have yogurt, so I had some with currants and cornflakes.

Walked to work with Michelle.

Work seemed relatively slow today. I looked for clipart for this poaster I wanted to make for the library, 'cause I find that the kids check out mostly non-fiction books, and that section is a LOT easier to browes when you know what at least some of the numbers in the Dewey decimal system mean.

Lunch was left over moose stew with some spiced bannock. I also had some of the left over veggies. Man, we have been eating a lot of sweet potato!
I finally rememebr to show Naydine the Professionalisum paperwork. Then I cut out some stuff that will be lamenated tomorrow morning.

Ate an apple on my way home from work.

When I got home, I sketched out an idea for a web-based fashion line, "The Paper Bag." There were also some kids over, but we shooded them away.

Dinner was sweet potato soup with sasuage in it, more bannock with butter (there was blueberry bannock and raisins bannock) and chicken wings, but I dind't like those.  I did dishes with Brandon.

The evening activity was going to James Bay, or Baie James, or James Baie James. Whichever you like. XP

THE SUNSET WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! O.O Chris convicended me to taste the ocean, so I could compare it my coast, and the water ia barely even salty! I mean seriously? I could've had a glass of the stuff and not minded in the slightest! We mostly just walked around the beach. We even found a jelly-fish! (Dead, of course.) Some of us ended up having to walk super far so we could retrive Vince before it got too drak to see. Justin's been pretty chill lately. He also finaly finished thsi SUPER detailed pic he started when we 1st got here! I am very envious of his attention to detail. It's very impressive.

I REALLY want to be a fashion designer. >.<

Anywho, Julis made a fire at the beach. So we all sat around it for a bit. It was very nice.

IN the van on the way back, Michelle put her head on my shoulder, so I rester my head ontop of hers. My neck ended up getting very soar on one side, and I wondered if that's how guys sometimes felt when they cuddle with their GFs..........yeah..........I think of weir dthings I guess.

At  home, I ate more yogurt, but with puffed rice becasue we are low on cereal, and we ran out of currants. T.t

Today I found out that I can wait until I am able to appile for mature applicants status and still be able to use my passport to education money. ^.^

............*sighs* ...................

Chisasibi Week Eight: Day 5: Aug 30: Summer's Ging Away Party

Woke up at 7:30am and ate beef stew for breakfast, with an orange and some bread with butter and rasberry jam, and some more bread with bread and butter with chcolate chips. "Shot" Vincent.

I walked to work with Michelle. At work, I looked up the emergancy numbers for Radisson for the excrusion froms. I did find some phone numbers, but I didn;t find any addresses or anything. T.t

Today I was bar-coding and labeling books. I also deleted some of the old videos from the catalouge, but I started with the wrond number, so I ended up deleting 6-7 things I shouldn't have........T.t

Lunch was the last of the leftover Straugunaff, with apple. I had also packed a PB and Honey sandwhich, but I ate that during the morning break. I ate in the library with Justin and Vincent. In the afternoon, I was super busy!!! I learned how to give books temporary bar-codes and a new password sthat let me over-ride the book limit on the kid's library cards.

After work, I went to the post office and bought the biggest box they had. When I got home, I cleaned up all my stuff and packed the box. Then i went to do a load of laundry, and Gordon "shot" me in the laundry room. After that I went out in the back, sat in the sun, sang some hyms, and petted Lady.

A man named Ricky Bobby was supposed to come over for dinner, but we waited 1hr and a 1/2 and he never showed.

Dinner was Moose stew and baked banock with raisins and blueberries and spiecs in it.

I called Summer to tell her why I wasn't at her place for the time I said I would be.  Then I left the house with Chris, Talia and Michelle. We took a neat path, but we walked WAY t far past Summer's house. (we had been looking for the evidance of a bond-fire) The walk was really nice though. When we finally got to Summers, they hadn't been able to start the fire yet! So Chris got to work, and I started gathering twigs for kindeling. I managed to get quite a bit considering it was pretty much black out.  Stacy was there for a bit, and Michelle, Talia and I all went over to the general store, and Talia and I bought marshmellows, wagon wheels and cocochums, as our contirbution to Summer's party. That and the fire. XD It was really nice though, we got to laugh and talk with Summer and her friends. We also brunded the card broad from the boxes XD I wish I could've gotten to know them better. THey seem like really nice people. |*shrugs* That's life I guess.

When we walked home, I told CHris the joke about the Murphy Twins, he liked it. ^_^

Oh yeah, and the downstrias shower is out of order 'cause Chris re-coked it.

Chisasibi Week Eight: Day 4: Aug 29

I woke up at 7:30am. I ate yogurt with currants and cornflakes for breakfast, and I also had some left over sloppy joe. Then I had some bread with butter and chocolate chips.

I got to work early after walking to work with Michelle and Barndon after I caught up to them.  Work was good. I got to check books out to kids, make library cards, and got to open, stack and stamp some new books. >//< I also read couple. XD I helped sort libaray cards.

Lunch was more leftover straugnaff and an orange. Stacy came by and  said hi. She also dropped off some borchures about toursium at LG2 and local communities.

Summer came by after work (the one with pink hair!) And she invited the whole group to her going away party tomorrow night before she leaves for Edmonton. We also have a free time block tomorrow, so I plan to go!!

When I got home, I read Born Indian again (all short stories written by the same guy and they take place in a resver outside Edmonton). I figure Chris lent me the book, so I only have until we leave to finish it.

Dinner was bean and tofu cassorale and roasted veggies. The veggies were AWESOME!!!!!! XD
I read some more, we worked on the excursion froms, and I "shot" Cindy. XP Michelle also helped me dig my suitcase out of Gnarnia 3, so I am 1 step closer to mailing my bow home to my parents. >//<   Virgine made some bread, and some blueberry-chocolate chip cookies.  I was gonna start writing Elise back too, but I ended up going to Jean Noel's with Michelle, so she could retrun a movie a she borrowed. We ended up staying for a bit, and because Jean is leaving on a road trip soon, we ended up talking about cars and stuff, about which Jean Noel is very passionate. O.o

On the way back, I realised the nail of my middle finger on my left hand had almost riped off. So when I walked in the house, I was holding that finger with my other hand, to portect the nail. Chris was siting at the table when I came in and his eyes widened and he said, "What did you do?!" Of course, he was thinking that I had cut my finger. Again. -.- Really people? Really? *shakes head* Then, when I went to tell Michelle that it was the same finger that a nail had chipped on earlier in the day, all I said was, "Michelle, It was the same finger." And Gordon and Brandon overheard that and THEY were both like. "DID YOU CUT YOURSELF AGAIN!?!" *rolls eyes* Really people! I AM NOT CLUMSY!!!!!! *sighs*

Anywho, Brandon is doing a 24hr Nova Scotia impression. And I checked my email again.

But really! Am I in love or not? Probably not......a lot can change in 6 months........espicially when you don't see each other.......*sighs*................maybe I should stop mentioning this......O.o.......XP

Got back home, read some more, and  drank some tea.

I almost went to bed without journaling!!!!! o.O I am so lucky I remebered. I haven't missed a day yet!!! XP

Chisasibi Week Eight: Day 3: Aug 28

Dogs were braking at 8am, so I got up and had a shower. I had some leftover storgaunaff and yogurt with currants and cron flakes for breakfast, I felt very satisfied after.

Then there was CCK, which just seemed to drag on and on and ON!!!!!! *sighs* Let`s just say we went off topis A LOT!

Catherine and I made sloppy jeos with carrots for lunch, but I wasn`t sure if there`d be enough food. So I served all the plates myself, and I don`t know about you, but there is something about serving all the food yourself, and sitting down at a set table, that just feels more satisfiing, at least in my opinion. I also out bread and creamed corn on the plates. XD They were all pretty indentical, so it reminded me of army rations! XD

Then I cleaned both bathrooms, and Catherine and I swept.

We were supposed to have  Kids day, so I went to lie dwon for a bit, but  when I got woken up, it wasn`t for kids day (`cause there were no kids) but for a group meeting where we decided  to go for a walk and pick blueberry. I enjoyed the walk, and felt very proud of the  2 yogurt containers and big tup-o-ware container I filled. Although, whenever I mentioned that I wasn`t a totally fan of blueberries, I was kind of annioied by how certain people just assumed I`d let them eat them. That, and a bunch of people left early to go home `cause they wanted to make bleuberry pie. Then when Catherine and I got home, they`d just left all the blueberries on the table.

Dinner cooked surprisingly quickly!  And we were actually able to eat at 6pm. We had spring vegetable and bean soup, which I ate with crumbled bread in it, and I found it very good. Catherine mopped while I cooked.

Then we all sat down together and tryed to fill out froms for the excursion thatw e want to have this weekend, even though Katimavik requires like at least 3 weeks notice, and we are dwon to like 3 days......Chris also re-started the Bang Bang U R dead game, and we set it up properly this time so we will only have one winner.

After the activity ended, I made more bread, and ate one of the pancakes that Catherine and Gordon gave me. Then I "shot" Brandon and got Cindy`s name. I felt bad after though, so while Brandon wenrt out with Melony and Julia, and finished baking the cookies he wanted to take to work the next day.

I texted with Kaylee, finished the cookies, and read some of the comics that Vincent wrote. They were super funny, but very offencsive/ contervercial. *shrugs* oh well. Let`s just say its a very good work of dark humuor.

Then I called Dad, chatted with Brandon, and checked my email, but there were no new messages.

Two girls also came over, and I drew them each a portrait. I also drew a Katima-Fairy that I put up on Chris` wall.

Then I ate some more leftover stroguanaff.

I also realised I had a bug bite right next to my eye......

Chisasibi Week Eight: Day 2: Aug 27: Mid-rotation Reflection and FIRE!!!!!!

I selpt in till 10am, which was SO nice.  I had franch toast for breakfast too because Brandon offered me some!!! >//< I had one piece with Jam and the other with surpy. Oh yeah, and Brandon`s french toast set off the smoke alarm at around 9am. Haha. He also made the french toast out of white bread, which I had made for Virgone after she came yesterday `cause she can`t eat whole wheat, but of course, everone else, being so self-foucesed, just went ahead and ate it. *rolls eyes*

Then I organized the shoes and washed the floors.

Then as a last miniute desision, we changed drity chilie to to fryed ham with rice and a salade. It was actually a REALLY good lunch, despite its.........well, let`s just say I really suck a meal planning when it comes to the gorcery shopping bit.

Then the whole afternoon consisted of doing the mid-rotation reflection with Vrigine. I thought it went okay. Nothing stellar, but nothing unbareable. I found we didn`t talk or address any group issues, but we talked ALOT about Chris. We finished aroun 5:45pm.

Of course, Catherine and I still had to make dinner! So it ended up not being ready till 8:10pm `cause beef stew does not exactly cook quilckly, espicially when you are rushed so you don`t think to cut the meat into smaller pieces!! -.-

Gordon and I also succeeded in setting off, and thankfully putting out an OIL FIRE!! It was nuts. We knew the pan was on to high (my bad) but before I could trun it down, Gorddon went and poured more oil in the pan, which caught on fire. I grabbed a dish cloth right away (`cause I know you don`t use water) but I frooze up when I thought that the cloth might catch on fire, and then spread it. gordon grabbed the baking soda and put the fire out, but you`re supposed to use baking powder, so the smoke was really harsh and made my eyes water. Some walked in and thought I was crying! It was so bad.
*sighs* In anycase, it sucked, but was definetly a life experiance.

But dinner ended up being okay. It was beef stew and salade with bread. Talia had leftover rice with boiled carrots and tofu. (I plated up her meal all nice like to make her feel special......>.<) The humuas was also put out after Vrigine helped Catherine up-grade it.

After Dinner I cleaned the boys bathroom. Catherine had done the gril`s while I was cooking.

Gordon was heading out for a walk, and I asked if I could tag along (`cause I promised not to walk around the woods be myself) and he said yes. I got to see these neat rocks behind one of the daycare`s, and he and I sat and talked for hours! and about ecerything. I really enjoyed it. Gordon was right to miss having those kinds of conversations, I agree completely! XP

When we got home, Nathan and his mom stopped by to see if they could get Cindy for a bond-fire. Cindy had already left for their house though.......Anywho, Nathan`s mom got authorized as a driver, so Brandon, Gordon, Catherine, and I all piled in her van to go look for Cindy and go to the bond-fire. We never did see Cindy, after looking around for 20mins. But we did stop by a canteen I hadn`t been to that was really nice. Then we all went to the bond-fire, which was really a camp fire, near the place where sweats are held. While we were there, I ate 2 hotdogs, had one can of nesltea and ate two marshmellows! I was SO happy too, because I firgured out how to roast them the same way Maggie`s dad did back in Red Deer at one of the church picins! >//<

Cindy did make it eventually.

I walked home with Catherine and Gordon. I`m telling you though, walking around in the dark freaks me out. You never know what could be lruking just 15feet away!!! And it didn`t help that we had to walk through construction sites, right next to the bush, at 1am, and Catherine wanted to see a bear!

Chisasibi Week Eight: Day 1: Aug 26

Up near 7:30am, made oatmeal and red river which I ate with chocolate chips and rice crispes.

Did a load of sheets in the washer. Made more bread, I am a master!!! XD We did all the daily tasks, like always. :P Then I checked the Computer and had a shower.

Catherine went out with Chris to pick up Virgine, but I stayed home to try and get some food prep done for the weekend, which invovled a lot of veggi cutting, bread making, looking up recipes, and doing laundry.

Lunch was oatmeal and red-river w/fake PB and jam, which I ended up adding before I though to micro-wave the oatmeal, so I ate it cold.......yeah......

Dinner was beef strauguanaff. (My baby! XP)  And we used both the stew beef and some ground beef, two kinds of noodles, and tow kinds of "cream of" soup.  Seasoned it with pepper, garlic, onions and mushrooms. *shrugs* I liked it. For Talia, I actually looked up how to make tofu, and let in maranate instead of trying to just perpare it last minute. She said it was good. ^_^ Catherine also made brownies!

Our dinner guests were Virgine (the porject co-ordinater, in case you forgot :P), Oilevier, his wife, and their 2 sons. His wife brought a blue-berry-bannana crips -cake thing. It was really good. ^_^

After dinner we had French lesson, and Stacy came over and gave the francocphone an english lesson.

After our guests left, we all watched Happy Feet, with french subtitles....i think..... I finally went to bed at 12:18am! O.o

Oh yeah, I was texting Dad eariler in the day, and he joked about arranging my marriage for me. I actually though it sounded kind of appealing too...........okay. Something`s porbably wrong with me. >//<

Chisasibi Week Seven: Day 7: Aug 25

Slept in till 10amthis morning (Catherine didn`t even wake me up!) Ate bread with bread and cream cheese and ate a chuck of pepperoni (last of it).

I washed both bathrooms while Catherine took care of the floors. Finished daily taks, made more bread.

Lunch was like breakfast, except with leftover ham.

Went gorcery shopping, and we ended up $30 under, and for some strange reason un-benouced to me, we don`t get to roll-over that money, we just lose it.  Also, Chris went to the post office, like usual, and it was super busy! Of course, we sdidn`t know that so Catherine went over to mail something. Chris came and found me, then went back to find Catherine, so I ended up waiting in the gorcery store for, I don`t know, 1/2 an hr maybe. When they came back I was looking at clothes. XP There is this one shrit I kinda wanna get, but its 25-bucks......oh yeah, Bouze is working at Northern now.

We got home around 2:45pm, and I started preping potatos and sweet potatos fro dinner while Catherine took an other nap.

Dinner was roasted veggies, salade and lemon pepper fish (Michelle got chicken).

Chris introed us to this game called "Bang-Bang, you`re dead." (look it up!) Michelle and I formed an alliance, and then the one times she leaves me, she gets killed! (Haha) We set the game up wrong though, so we ended up with two winners, one was me, `cause I didn`t get killed, and the other was  Gordon, `cause he killed everybody else.

Michelle and I went to Kandies, and I bought some Reese candy, which I realised was a sencory memeory re-lep from my last week as house manager. XP I also bought some Lindor, so Michelle could have one as her accompaniment tax. XD

Got home and we did the French activity of Bingo! It went super good!!!! All our work really paid off!!1 They kept wanting to play more rounds! (Unfortunately, we forgot to buy prizes.....) BUt even then! People gave out 10s when we asked for their evaluation!

After that I got the new from for professionalisum at work, which is the school this time.

Uhg. I just finished off a 260g bag of reese candy in a couple hrs........ugh.

I tried calling Mom, but she didn`t pick up so I left a message. Sang out back for a littwel, then went on the computer and did e-mail and Facebook.......yeah..........I think i might like someone, but i really have no clue.........( XP let`s see how many of you actually read to the end of my posts! XD)

Chisasibi Week Seven: Day 7: Aug 24

Got a bizzar wake up call this morning! Gordon, for abosolutly no apperent reason, was squeezing my toes and it jolted my awake. I found out later after work that my foot had apperently been hanging off the bed and wasn`t covered my the sheet, and the bedroom door was open, and he just couldn`t help himself `cause my foot was asking for it. *rolls eyes*

ANYWHO! I got up after everyone left, and ate oatmeal with with honey, PB, raisins, and too much salt and more chocolate than I intented.

Did all the daily tasks with Catherine and made bread. We were done again by noon. Catherine took a nap in the afternoon and I blogged 6 entries (not these ones `cause I am stupid and busy and still a month behind *rolls eyes*), face booked, and checked my email. (speaking of which, you people should e-mail more!!!! I need to feel the love!!!! T.t ) ((I was just about to post it, than i releaised this is a public blog, I don`t want no random weirdo`s emailing me >.< shoot!!!!! T.t))

Dinner was spaggetti with cream suace and borrcoli, with wok chicken, a salade, grapes and strawberries, and Brandon`s chocolate chip cookies. Our dinner guest was Christopher Herodiay from the Cree health broad. ^_^

I chatted with CAtherine while the dishes were being done, then we had a group meeting `cause we couldn`t go to James Baie because of the rain. Chris H. shared with us some songs he wrote, and played his guitar. Then we grou-voted to do a mini-final presentation here, even though its not mandatory. (good practice!) So we started writting a song and brainstroming ideas for the kinds of things we could do for a fund raisier.

After that there was a littel drama between Michelle and Chris (PL Chris) and when Chris got back (`cause he left to take other Chris home?) I helped sort it out. So it`s all good now. ^_^

I also learned today that the Work-partners and each PL write a letter of referance for each katimavik participant!!! >_< WHOOT! Katimavik also helps us set up our E-porfiles, but we have to wait till Steinbach where the internet is faster.

There was this huge thing of lightening that lit up the whole dran sky!!!!!!!!!!!!O.o

The song was still getting worked on, and I`d make the mistake of writting down ideas in my skecth book, so without asking, the others were.....well, basically defacing it. I mean, even if there were going to be some verues we didn`t use, its still my book and I perfer not having everything scribbled into oblivinon!

After that Michelle and I chatted and read some manga.

Now, it was 11:40pm and I headed to bed, only to find a text from Dad, so I called home. Got to say to Rebecca!!!!! >//<

Now its 12:25am T.t

Chisasibi Week Seven: Day 6: Aug 23: Movie Night!......kinda,......

Selpt in till just after 9am. Ate a breakfast of left over rice with the last of the pork-noodle soup and some more stir-fryed veggies.

In the morning, we completed the daily tasks, and I made more bread. (I won`t bore you with the details XP)

Lunchwas bread with Jam, and more bread with butter and chocolate chips.......>//< so much for eating healthy! Oh, boy.

After lunch Catherine and I cleaned the bread crumbs out of the dishwasher, `cause we use it as our bread basket. Then I cleaned the cupbroads. Most of our weekly tasks are now done.

Dinner was paninie, AKA bread, cheese, lettuce, ham and tomato all smushed togeher in the sandwhich griller. And there was humus. Cooking/frying the ham was my ordeal, while making the humas was Catherine`s. There was also a salade, and then a fruit salade for dessert. I thought the sandwhichs came out very well. And the fruit salade was very good! Louisa had dinenr with us.

After we finished eating, Michelle and I walked back to Louisa`s place with her to grab some rope to try and fix/stablize our mitchwap. (Didn`t do much good in the long run.....*sighs*) While I was helping tie the rope, I got called inside for a OLC meeting, and we preped BINGO. I was so happy to see the group putting in so much work together. >//< It was great!!!

Then I played cards with Louisa, Gordon, Talia, and Michelle. Then we all went downstaris and watched this super-weird-tripy version of Romeo and Juilette with French aduio and english sub-titles. Apperently it was made in 96 with Lenardo Decaprio.......It was super weird.......

Chisasibi Week Seven: Day 5: Aug 22: House Managers Again! and Sweet Grass

Got up around 7:30am and made steal cut oats for the 1st time, but I think I under cooked them a little.......I added a lot of brown sugar. :P

At 9am, Catherine and I did daily tasks with Catherine and by 11:30am we were done! We even managed to clean the fridge and mop all the floors. ^.^ I read of bit of this book Chris lent me called "Born Indian." (Realized a couple days later that it was from the school library XD)

For lunch I had leftover meat stuff with rice.It has bell peppers in it too, which was really good.

Then we went grocery shopping. Now, when we got up here, there was a store room in the basement full of food and house-hold stuff that had been bought in the south and brought up here because that was cheaper. However, this store still came out of our food budget, until we paid it off, which was done last week. So for Catherine and I, it was the 1st week anyone had the full $770 to spend. We spent just over half, so next time we have to spend $30 less than today. ^_^

Justin glasses finally arrived in the mail today. So before heading home we all went over to the school to see if we could find him. I ended up giving Catherine a tour while Chris stayed by the office in case Justin showed up there 'cause we paged him. We never did see him, so we just went home before the groceries melted.

After we unpacked all the food, I started on 2 batches of bread (4 loaves.) while Catherine took a nap. Then I started cutting up the veggies for a salade. At 4pm, Catherine woke up and we started doing dinner. We sat down to eat at 6:30pm, and the guest were Jack, his wife Elizabeth, and there 3 kids. The food was good, except for the fact that Catherine's rice-covered meatballs were still kinda raw, so a couple people had to microwave theirs. We also had roasted potates that had taken FOREVER to cook, and then there was that salade.

Michelle had also made another vegan chocolate cake for us because it was Baby Girl's B-day. (Jack's daughter.)

Crisco is my new BF. The bread literally just fell out of the pans. And Brandon made more bannock!

And, House managers AREN'T supposed to do dishes, but I ended up doing them anyway. And I didn't even get to finish cause then we all jumped in the van to go Sweet Grass picking with Jack. Again, it sucks to be a girl. I was lucky, but Julia and Michelle couldn't participate, 'cause you're not supposed to kill anything (especially scared herbs) while you're on your time..........*rolls eyes* I managed to get a pretty good amount of grass, and Nathan said I'd be able to make 2 braids no problem. (He tagged along with us.)

After we finished picking, when it got to dark to see what we were doing :P, Jack and his family drove home, while we stayed and checked out James Bay. It was really dark, and very cold, but daylight still clung to the sky in swaths of red. It was a very serene and peaceful place. Chris said that the tide was out super-low, which was pretty cool. The bay didn't seem very big though. Although there was this cool effect, where even though it was completely dark out, the pools of water on the sand and in between the island and rocks were all lit up. Well not "lit up" But they were........bright blue compared to everything else.......It's hard to describe but it was totally awesome!!!!!!

Back home I put my sweet grass in the chandelier so it could dry out, tomorrow we are gonna braid it. Then I made myself a cup of tea, had some bannock with raspberry jam, and told Michelle my "wicked-epic ocean adventure story!!" XP (....so maybe I'm exaggerating the excitement just a little >//<)

Chisasibi Week Seven: Day 4: Aug 21: Demotions, Swimming and a Maessage Fest!

Day started at 9am. I had a shower, and ate toast for breakfast.

Then we had CCK which went super fast! (For a change *rolls eyes*) I got demoted/replaced as chairperson. Julia wanted Justin to do it. I stepped down 'cause I figured it's a democracy right? No need to seem all dictator-ish and say no. I was a bit sad though. But it really annoyed me after when Talia refused to let me try being secretary! She even said she didn't want to do it, and only changed her mind after Chris told her it looked good on a resume! *rolls eyes*

Anywho, after that I went and friended all my group-mates on Face Book. Except for Cindy, apparently she wasn't taking request form the group.  Then I read some Bible.

Lunch was cold pasta salade and dirty chili. Brandon made whole wheat flour bannock 'cause we are out of white flour.......Ooops

Activity for the afternoon was swimming at the pool! It was all pretty good. I left around 4-4:30pm, and when I got home I crashed on my bed with my MP3 and ended up falling asleep.

Dinner was awesome! There was a pork-broth spaghetti thing, which I ate with white rice, and the veggie stir-fry all mixed up! It was SO good!!!!! I made myself a cup of hot water with freshly squeezed lemon juice and honey. XP

In the evening we had free time, so Michelle and I shared more story stuff. Melony stopped by for a bit. At one point, we all went down stairs with the intention of watching "Blood Diamond" but we just ended up looking at Michelle's Face Book pics a message fest instead. There were even some tickle fights! I was not involved with those :P but i did give and get quite a few very relaxing maessages. Oh, and Michelle taught me how to take out a knot.

Chisasibi Week Seven: Day 3 : Aug 20: French Activity and Much Music

Slpet in till 11:15amish. Planned meals for my next week of house managing with Catherine. Ate some oatmeal that Michelle had made and also ate some bread with jam. Then I blogged (not this entry *rolls eyes*) and Stacy swung by.

After lunch, we had our frnech activity of french lyric translating that the francocphones planned. Gordon and I went downstairs with Catherine and Stacy to do harder songs, while everyone else stayed upstairs and did disney. I really enjoyed it, and I kinda wish we could`ve actually listened to the song, but it was all good. I was reminded about how literal translation don`t work very often. >.<

Then I blogged some more. After that I played Risk, and lost, but that`s not surprising.

Dinner was egg lasaunga. The 1at one was better in my opinion....Stacy also brought over this egg-plant parmasone thingy. I tried it......it was okay.

Stacy also gave me cookies as a day-late b-day gift!!!! >//< There were some brunt ones with carnberries in them, and I ate those with dream suace and they ere SO good. There were also cookies made with chocolate chips. Both had oatmeal in them. SO GOOD!!!!!!! >//<

Tonight was free time, so a bunch of us went to the DJ much music dance off thingy......I had a good time dancing. I bought a water and a gaturade at one point. I even won a much music downloads card! They played the YMCA song, and there was a group and singles dance compition. Kyle`s group did their stomp-techno routine, and it was actually aroutine! Thay also had uniforms and stuff, so I think they did the best job at being an actual dance crew. The last song they played before we left was "I perfrom this way" by Weird Al, which was AWESOME!!!!! YOu have to understand, they had two bigs screens showing the music vids to all the songs too. So when that one came on, everyone was looking at the screen in a horrid-fanatsied way, meanwhile I was just loving it!!!! It made my night!!!
And hey, if nothing else, dancing is good exercise.

Oh yeah! We also got a boil order this morning, which means they want us to boil our water. Now, I<m fairly sure I`ve never had one of these before, and it was really bugging me. We boiled the kettel at full a couple times and as we left the house to go to the Much Music thing, I thought to myself, "the water`s porbably cool by now." So I filled my cup and took a swig......only to release it onto the floor and completely scold my entire mouth.......yeah........not fun. Now my tounge feels all funny. T.t

Chisasibi Week Seven: Day 2: Aug 19: Beaver costums, and Happy B-Day to Me!

Happy 18th B-day to me! LOL XD

Got up at 7am and ate oatmeal with PB, hoeny, raisins and chocolate chips. I also had some bread with butter on it. Before work, I played solitare and went on the computer.

At work, I spent some time looking for french lyrics to disney songs for the french activity. I found a good site. Then I helped do more moving in the multi-media room. Then tsome women came by to confrim that they had mascots. Talia and I said yes, and later they brought by the costums.

Now, I got to dress up like a beaver. I had a very nice blue and white striped scarf and hat. It started off pretty good, then we go to the gym where the kids were, and they made us run after each other and play tag for the 1st group. That made us start to get all hot and bothered. Then the older kids came in, and they made us dance and stuff. The worst part was when kids pulled on the tail of the costum. There was one group of girls that were espicially bad about it. And OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!! You`re feild of vision is so small!!!!!! IT`s hard to see anything that isn`t directly in front of you and over 2 feet away. Oh yeah, and one of the straps that kept my head on was borken.......But overall it was a great experiance! XD

When I finally got out of the costum (Talia and I walked around the halls a bit after) it was around 11am. I was so whipped out and sweaty, that I didn`t do anything else till after lunch. But seriouly, my clothes were drenched!! And my hair was all over the place! I read some graphic novels while I cooled off.

Lunch was an apple with some leftover alferado. Then I went out and bought a sunny-D, a kitkat, and butter trats, which don`t have raisins in them!!!!!! >.<  So good!!!

Back at work, I did more stuff in the multi-media room, did some circulation desk, and then printed off the stuff for OLC, which ended up being really complicated, as the printer jamed, we were low on ink, and I tryed to print it double sided.

When I got home, I just chilled out. Then remebered I needed a shower and had one! Then hung out again till dinner.

For dinner we had hot and cold pasta salades, and a meat add-on. I also ate a plumb. Then, of course! We had CAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  >//< It was a vegan chocolate cake, and we had it with cream suace (titled "dream" suace XD) and strawberries. It was super funny too, because they drew a little cross on the cake with white icing. XD It was epic. Olivier was over for dinner. OH yeah, they also made little bags full of pop-cron, which was a bit sad considering I hate it......

Oh yeah, and I found a pair of glasses in the house that remind me of Taylor swift from her you belong with me music video.

More hanging out.

Our activity that night was a french leeson with Olivier. I think it went really well. Julia suggested we do a pharse by pharse story thing, and it let us work on our grammer, which I liked. Then we did a little mini-skit. I was partnered with Talia and she did really well. Overall it was great.

Called home but Dad wasn`t there. T.t

Talked with Catherine. She explained to me the French activity the Francocphone had planned while we had our lesson. It sounded very well thought through.

Called Dad again, and the family sang me happy b-day. >//<

Then I made the extra-stupid deciceon of making a batch of bread, which meant I couldn`t go to sleep till it was done.

I did some sketching that came out pretty good.

.............now it`s like 1am......................stupid bread..................very stupid................

Chisasibi Week Seven: Day 1: Aug 18: Face painting, Pants, and Faber Drive!

UP at 6:45am. Had a shower. Ate oatmeal/red river with chocolate chips and honey bunches of oats. Bread that Gordon had made, which reminded me of carrot cake, that I ate  with butter. Had tea!

At work, I did work on the bulletin broad, shelved books, organized the managa section, and re-shelved some DVDs and videos. Then we started re-organizing the multi-media room. Naydine wanted to start doing it now, so that in January it is easier to move out the primary section. So we moved all the primary stuff to one side, and separated the French from the English. It was a really big task, and I felt bad that I would'nt be there that afternoon, so I stayed and worked through lunch till I got to the point where I couldn't keep working for lack of space.

Lunch was a sandwich with PB., honey and currants, and an apple.

After lunch, Chris picked us up, and we all went to the ball-field again, this time to paint faces. WE were there for almost 5hrs! It was okay for the most part, but I got a bit upset when some of the kids washed off their face paint, then came back to get new stuff. But I got to use this really super nice paint brush, so it all evened out, I guess. (Yes, we were actually "painting" their faces XD although we were using wax-based paints XP)

Stacy came by after work and helped too. Catherine also came by with work, then stopped by again after. Chris also brought Gordon over, and he helped with the jail-game fundraiser thing, where you could pay money to get people arrested. XD

I got to eat a steak, with potato salad and a piece of baked potato, which was super tasty. After we packed up, I looked at the merchandise they were selling, and I ended up buying a pair of yoga pants for $30. They are very comfy, and are gray with "CHISASIBI" written across the back in white. (....yeah.........but they are really nice pants!!!!! >//<)

Back home, dinner was meat balls, rice, and some garden salad.

Then we all ran off to do security at the Faber Drive concert. Except for Julia, Cindy and Brandon, who were all home sick. When we got to the arena, they told us that we were gonna be standing in a line, to make sure people form the stands didn't jump the side-broads into the floor seat area, 'cause floor seats were more expensive. Stacy came in her Katimavik shirt and helped out, which was good 'cause we were down 3 people.

The concert was good. I haven't been to many lives, but it seemed pretty standard. They did a lot of cover songs, I think. I know they defiantly did a couple, and then they played some songs I knew, but didn't think were theirs so *shrugs* They had a new song, which was super cool!!! And there was one song where the guitarist sang the course and AH! He is my fav by far. XD Although everyone else was super good too!!! Especially the drummer.......XD

Vincent ended up going home sick, and Stacy left before the concert ended.

After it ended, we all went outside for an air break, while the band signed autographs. Catherine ran off, and came back with strawberry ice-cream that she shared with everyone, and I got to talk with Summer and her friends, which was really nice. ^_^

We went back in to see about getting a picture with the band, and were told to go stand by the van if we wanted to try and get any, So we went outside, and looked all over the place, only to find out the van wasn't there yet. (we saw it drive up. *rolls eyes*)  We did get to talk with the band for a bit though, and got some photos.  But seriously, these guys are really genuine, they weren't arrogant or anything! I really want to try and support them, and they are Canadian! Mostly from Vancouver even!!!! Except the drummer, I think he was from Ottawa...maybe.....

Oh yeah, the name of their new song is "Life is Waiting."

>//< My b-day is tomorrow!!!!!! I need to remember to call home. XP

Chisasibi Week Six: Day 7: Aug 17: Libraries,The Youth Center, and Celebs

I woke up at 7am, and maybe its just me, but it seems like everyone else has been getting up progressively later. They used to wake up around 7-7:30, now some of them are sleeping in till 8 or later......which is pushing it considering we have to be at work for 9........*shrugs*

Anywho, breakfast was some bread with PB and strawberry/rhubarb jam, more bread with butter and chocolate, some leftover pasta, and tea!! ^_^ (.......yeah, guess I was hungry...)

Got to work before Naydine again, which wouldn't have been a problem now, except I didn't know how to log on to the computer. (you have enter passwords twice. Once to turn it on, the other to log in.) When Naydine got there she showed me the passwords, so now it's all good. At 9:30, Talia, Vince and I all went to help this women , and she even made up a list for us!!! XD We finished in a decent amount of time, and I worked on the bulletin broad for the rest of the time I had before lunch.

For lunch, Stacy invited us over, so Talia and I walked with her to her house. It was really nice. The house was really small, but just right for 1 or 2 people to live in, aka cozy. XP We watched a super out-dated education film. I think it was called "Post Cards from Canada".....It was a pretty intense film. The entire history of Canada was boiled down into about 40mins? *shakes head* But it was still a really nice visit, we chatted, and Stacy let us eat some of her home made granola!!!!! It had almonds and cranberries in it and was very good! I want to try making some myself later. >//< Stacy also offered us some Kim-chee something or other. It was pretty spicy, so I didn't have much. My lunch was the dinner form yesterday, but I had to eat it cold 'cause Stacy didn't have a microwave. XP

Back at work, I actually got to finally do some real library work!!!!! And let me tell you! I am SO glad I took library science in school and learned the Dewey Decimal system!!!! It made life so much easier! (Shout out to Mrs Burleson!!!! XD) So I spent around an 1hr moving books around on the shelves to make more space.  Then I shelved some books, which was a little confusing to begin with because there are two section for every category, one in French and one in English. But I think I got it now. XP

Then I helped Vince with some more laminating. Then back to book shelving, and this time I moved any books that were out of order to their proper place, so it took a LOT longer. While I was doing this, someone came in and told me I said set up the bulletin broad in someone else's spot. (Oops.......) So I followed her, and she showed me the one the last Katimavik group had used. Then I went back and took down the other one, and put up a new background for the teacher who's broad it was.

I went back to the library for a bit, and finished the shelving. It was past 5pm at this point, but I still went and put up the new bulletin broad. Then I spotted Talia, and she and I talked with Doris for a bit.

On the way home, I bought a kit-kat and a white maccodamine nut cookie, both of which I finshed before reaching the house....-.-"

At home, we got our $14, and Chris had every one develop their competency action plan. (I should work on mine.......O.o)

Dinner was meat cassorle with lettuce salade.

Then. because we weren't able to volunteer at the Helix concert, we went (and actually made it!!!!!!!!) to the youth center! The katima-group played basketball together, and that was pretty fun. Then the locals kicked us off so they could use the full court for this game I'd never heard of called "full court knock-out" .......I think....
We went over to the coaches, and watched people playing mortal combat (now I know what the song on my player is actually from!!! XD), then we even got turns!!! I really liked watching that game, it was WAY more entertaining then the shooter games, although the blood effects were really fake. Haha, but it was still good. When I got to play, I didn't know any of the controls, so I just spaz played, (what I usually do for video games) and I actually won the 1st round......as well as freaking everybody out........I guess I just got to into it. *shrugs* It was fun though.

After that, we swung by the arena where the Helix concert was happening, just to see what was up. Faber Drive was outside, so we got a chance to talk to them and stuff, which was pretty cool. They all seem really nice. I also got to talk with one of (if not the only?) guitar technician. Tomorrow was gonna be his first show with Faber Drive, so I wished him luck.

Back home, brandon had made some chocolate chip-mint cookies (he is STILL sick, so he wasn't allowed to go out with us) and Gordon and Catherine shared a blueberry pancake with me. >//<

Chisasibi Week Six: Day 6: Aug 16: Time Capsule, International Letters, and Pepper cookies!

So, because my bag got locked in the office, I didn't have my phone. At first I thought, "Oh, that won't be a problem! Just no texting till tomorrow." Then, I realized my alarm clock was on my phone.......Yeah. I ended up waking up around 5:30am, and I was like, WAY to early. So I went back to bed. At 8am, Cindy's alarm woke me up, which was lucky for me or I would've really been late!!!

Breakfast was oatmeal with honey raisins chocolate chips, and I even mixed in some honey bunches of oats cereal.

I managed to get to the school on time for 9am, but when I got there the library door was locked and I couldn't get in. At 1/4 after, Naydine got to work, but it was a new lock, so she didn't have a key for it. Then she went upstairs, 'cause there is a staircase on the second floor that ends INSIDE the library. Of course, there's a door you have to get pass to access the stairs, but it was open. (LUCKY!!) So I got my bag back!!! And then, Naydine handed me my very own set of keys!!!! So my bag will never get locked in the office again!!!! ^//^

Work was the last of the laminating. Well, not the last of it, but we ran out of plastic for the big machine. There's a small one, but it seems to be broken.....Then Stacy came by, saying she wanted to talk with us, but she had some paper work she needed to complete before. In the meantime, Talia and I worked on our Bios for the bulletin broad and I read some books (lots of Robert Munch) and even an article from the magazine Seventeen. It was about dating guys older than you............not sure what to think...... Stacy still wasn't ready, so then Talia, Vincent and I went around the school introducing ourselves to all the teachers like Chris had wanted.

When we got back to the library Stacy was ready, so we all sat down and she gave us some pointers about the program and working in the school. We got a little off topic at points, but it was really cool to talk with her. She's very chill.

At 12pm we broke for lunch, which for me was leftover turkey soup and an orange. I warmed it up in the microwave in the staff room, and then went back to the library, where Naydine and Denise had already left for lunch. So I locked up the office with my new set of keys, and sat back down with the others and we kept talking.

At 1pm I headed over to the commercial center where we were supposed to meet up with the people who wanted help with the time capsule for Chisasibi's B-day. I met up with Chris, and we waited till 1:15ish. When the people showed up, they handed up paint, a barrel, and said they wanted to re-locate to the base-ball field. So Chris grabbed the barrel and I grabbed the paints, which we pout in the van, then I ran back to the school to grab my stuff and let the others know.

The time capsule was a success! We were there for 4hrs, and I know that sounds like a long time, but it actually wasn't that bad. It was really nice to paint the kids hands and we even got some older people to put there hand prints. (And I got 2 free Hot Dogs! So I wasn't even hungry! And there were onions!! >//<) We also wrote the kid's name next to their hand print, some people put up their age and the date too. Of course, we did this part with Sharpie, so Vincent ended up drawing all over the thing too. ;P It even got a little ridiculous, 'cause he kept insisting it was pointless to even have a time capsule unless unless we put oil or something "scientifically valuable" in it. Psheesh! It's just for fun!

Anywho, we had a bit of a problem when the paint of some of the hand prints started peeling, where there was too much paint. But we were lucky, 'cause the people organizing it managed to pick up some special spray, which helped a little. Around 5:10ish Chris came back in the van with Gordon and we all went home.

I GOT MORE MAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >//< This time it was form Elise! (My friend from France, who is currently in France. XD) My parents forwarded it to me express mail. It was so much fun to read!! But it was 8 pages long! EIGHT I tell you!!!!!! *sighs* The trick is gonna be sitting down to write her back......

Dinner was meat with cheese and stuff, served on rice with veggies(carrots and celery). I even reserved some for my lunch XP. Then I did the dishes.

Tonight we had free time. So I finally made those pepper cookies!!!!! ^_^ They turned out great and everyone liked them! That is, once I finally let them have one, it was weird. Everybody got really worked up and excited over it. .........Made me feel great XD After that I told Michelle about 2 of my stories and she really liked the one about the dragon half-breeds. ^//^

Then everyone else went to watch a movie and I went to bed.

(btw, my Dad is just plain awesome. Thought you guys should know.)

Chisasibi Week Six: Day 5: Aug 15: 1st Day of School and Mail Day

Up at 7am, had a shower, ate oatmeal/red river with honey raisins and chocolate chips.  Just hung around till 8:40, when Talia, Chris and I all left to go to the school. Vince had gone on ahead.

At the school, we met the librarian, who I will be working with. Her name is Naydine (sp???) After a quick tour of the library, we got a tour of the school. Chris showed us a little broom-closet office we'd been offered. (We still had to share it with someone else.) After that, Chris took off and the three of us went around helping teachers set up their classrooms, which involved lots of sticky tack, laminating (Oops! almost put lamenting. stupid spell check!), and moving desks around.

When lunch time rolled round, the school became a ghost town, everybody just up and went! I stayed in the staff room and ate leftover french onion soup with bread crumbs and an orange. When I was done eating, I went back downstairs to the library and read some FMA (Full Metal Alchemist.) Haha, I was pretty impressed that they had manga, although their collection is very small and only really has some of the really popular series, but at least they're all up to date!!

Then it was back to helping teachers, which lasted till about 3:45pm. At that point, we started working on an outline for our billboard that was to go up in one of the hallways. I also helped Naydine deliver some teaching materials, and then we got this HUGE stack of laminating someone asked us to do. So we started laminating, and I ended up being talked at by Vince, which was okay. I got a bit stress out at one point 'cause he told me something ify, but *shrugs* no point dwelling on stuf I can't change. (and no, I'm not being lazy.)

Anywho, I stayed later than 4pm to finish the laminating, and by that point Naydine had already left, so my bag was locked in her office. (stupid me!) My bag had my wallet and my cellphone in it too! I looked for the maintenance guys to see if they had a key, but I couldn't find anyone!

So I just headed home. Right outside the Katima-house, I ran into the little boy from the Pow-Wow. (the one that kept climbing me) When I finally got inside the house, Talia was waiting in the second doorway and was holding up 2 pieces of mail for me! I flipped out just a little. Mail is a REALLY big deal here.

Anywho, what I got was the a package from Mom and Dad, which had the new bags for sleeping bag, (because the one it came with is dieing and I want the sleeping bag protected in the plane), and some b-day cards, and a got a letter which was a b-day card from Rebecca!!!! >//< I almost cried when I read all the b-day cards. ^//^

Dinner was pork chops wrapped with bacon, which TMSI gave us before they left, alfredo and cucumber. We also had a dinner guest by the name of Stacy. She is a Katima-victim from Chris' 1st group and has come back to work at the school as a substitute teacher.

Then I laid down for a bit, and was just about to fall asleep when I got woken up for a group meeting, because even though we planned to take down the Mitchwap and re-build it, it had rained. Chris said we should go to the Youth Center, but the group decided to go see the talent show that was being put on for Chisasibi's b-day. Julia sang a song, and Talia even did her slam poetry, but it took them a really long time to get on stage, and we were all super tried form waiting. We just barely made curfew.

I'm still pretty sick right now. It's mostly throat pain, but I just grit my teeth and bare it, not much else to do.

I GOT MAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >//< *is so incredibly happy* WOO-WHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chisasibi Week Six: Day 4: Aug 14

I set my alarm for 7am, so I could sleep in for 1/2hr. When my alram went off, I got up and took one look at the living room and went back to bed, I figured I`d just do the mopping during free time that evening.

So I set my alarm for 9am, to get up for CCK on time and still have breakfeast. However, it wasn`t the alarm that woke me up, but the sound of my phone falling off my bed (top bunk) and onto the floor. .....I`m not totally sure why I put my phone next to my pillow the second time....maybe so I could grab it faster to trun off the alarm? Anywho, I picked it up and put it away. (I didn`t ckeck to see if it still worked until after I finshed journaling that night -.-")

Breakfeats was Oatmeal/red river with raisins, honey, PB and chocolate chipd. And later Cindy gave me a chocolate chip pancake! >//< It was really good.  Before CCK started, I chopped up some carrots and celery in prep for lunch.

CCK was okay. Nothing steller, nothing super horrible.

Then I made truckey soup for lunch. Haha, I`d certainly never done THAT before. XP I put barely in it, and I wasn`t sure weather it was gonna cook properly or not.....In the end, I went and cleaned the bathrooms, while Talia kept an eye in the soup. For herslef, Talia made soup squash soup, then tossed in some left over ratatouille, and it was a good thing she made so much, `cause for a minute there it seemed like I hadn`t made enough.

Oh yeah, and because my finger is injuried, I have to wear a laytex glove while I cook and stuff. I gave up on the bandaids `caus ethey kept falling off.

In the end, the barely cooked, and I really love making truckey soup now, because you don`t have to worry about the flavouring, as the truckey meat/broth already provides all the flavouring you need!!! XD

After lunch, I cleane dthe kitchen and did more daily tasks. Then because the kids never showed up for kids day, and that guy never got back to us about doing the time capsule, we had a group meeting to decide what activity to do so we could still have free time in the evening.  It was funny too `cause I already put all the chairs up on the table in hopes of getting the mopping done, (which didn`t happen till later anyways) so we all sat one the floor.

It was also a really gray day outside, and with everyone mostly in the PJs, it felt all cozy and homely. We ended up playing broad games too!!! XD Of course, we played them in French. :P Half of the group played Risk, and the other half played monoploy. I was in the monoploy group with Michelle, Catherine, Talia and Jutine. We didn`t have a rule book, and none of us really knew what we were doing. We played the 1st whole half of the game with onyl one dice........>.< " We all stayed on teh floor, and the two groups were back-to-back, literally. My back was up against Julia`s.

Anywho, I`d say that was a really successful idea, beacause we all played 1/2hr over the minium activity time.

Dinner was  a leftover free-for all, so I had more of lunch.

I got the mopping done, and then made some bread, while listening to Mumford and Sons on Talia`s player, which I later switched out for Gordon`s so I could listen to Florance and the Machine. (I asked!!! and used my own headphone :P)

While the bread was rising, I wrote The Journey: Gate and Garden. (Which didn`t come out at all the way I expected it too, but I still totally love it!!!!!!) I also wrote a song and prophecy stuff for that universe of Michelle`s. I showed it to her after, and she said she liked it!! XD It`s really funny `cause the more we talk baout it, the more complicated the story gets!!! XD

Brandon shared this dessert thing he made with me, it contained puffed rice and chcoclate, and he cooked it in the oven. It was okay.

Then I went downstairs and pillow attacked Catherine, (I felt bad after `cause she hadn`t been expecting it......and I was a bit rough......>. >) Then I had a good ol pillow fight with Brandon and Gordon. Espicaially Gordon. XP In the end I think I won, `cause I maganed to get his pillow away from him. XD Haha. And Gordon said that my "complex personality" surprised hime again. *Rolls eyes*

Then back upstairs, I listened to Talia do some slam poetitry. Then I ate some bread with butter, and had some left over french onion soup with bread crumbs in it.

Over all it was a pretty nice day for staying at home, It was a bit annioing in the evening though, `cause everythime I sat down to journal I got distracted by something. XP

Chisasibi Week Six: Day 3: Aug 13: The Black and Gold Gala

Got up at 6:30am, so that I could at least mop the floor before everyone else got up. Surprisingly, at least to me, was that I wasn`t the only one up, Justin was too. I got most of the daily tasks done, except the 3 related to dinner and the bathrooms. I wrote done the receipies for biscuits and pepper cookies that Dad emailed me. ^_^

An hr later (7:30ish) I had breakfeast, which was leftover hamburger patties. While I was eating, Justin came up and told me he had cleaned the boy`s bathroom. I hadn`t even asked him!!!!!! >//< That definetly helped start off my day on a good note. It`s really so nice when people help out. XD

After that, when more people were up, I helped plan that mourning`s activity of "mime", aka charades. We, (I wasn`t working by my self!!!!) also came up with new ideas for the next CCK. Catherine has also joined the OLC. (Officail Languages Committee)

Anywho, charades went well enough. I got some pretty crazy words to act out, like rag-doll, cursader, and Lady Gaga........that one was hard. And it was reall funny too, `cause I was given the chioce between her and an other female artist. I picked Lady Gaga, `cause I thoguht that was more current/well known, and then while I was acting, someone guessed the other gilr 1st!!!! XD We all had a good laugh. There was quite a bit of french at the beginning, then it kinda died out near the end.....

When that was over, I started making lunch. I had pre-cut the potatoes that morning, so Talia went ahead and cooked them for hashbrowns while I made biscuit. (1st time ever!!!!!) I tripled the recipie Dad sent, and they truned out amazing! A little brown on the bottom, and little crispy, but still light and flaky!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!! So good! >_<  Everyone else said they liked them too. XP We also had baccon, while Talia had eggs.

While the dishes were being done, Talia and I had a few spare minutes to put up our feet, then we were off to making dinner. We had to cut up all these vegetables and squashes (Talia took over the squah cutting before I chopped a finger off....) for Ratatouille. Unfortunaly, it wasn`t really ratatouille, becasue we didn`t have any eggplant or zhucciny, thus all the squah. It kinda ended up being a vegetable stew, but it was still good.

Then we all dressed up for the black and gold gala. I was so chocked that I didn`t have my gold barcelts that I wore to Grad, `cause those would`ve been perfect!! I ended up wearing my black capperi-slacks, black collard shirt, black belt, barcelt from pow-wow, watch (which had gold on it!!!!) my cross necklace, my tall black socks and my chior shoes. (haha, even though I`m not in chior anymore, I`ll porbably always call them that XP) Talia also starightened my hiar, `cause last time I told Brandon that for the next event I`d let them. It was a littel last minute though, and we ended up rushing out the door. Not that we needed to `cause we got there early!

At the gala, we set the food, and gravy out on the tables, then set up a littel cup-cake table. As the people arrived, I did "punch runs" where we went and served them drinks. Our group was allowed to try the food, but I was so busy working, that I was the last to eat, and by then there was no stuffing left (it was a trukey dinenr) T.t!!!! Luckily, Gordon gave me his, and in return I found some carnberry sauce for him to have with his dinner, since he said it just wasn`t them same without it. But it didn`t cherr him up  the way the stuffing cheered me up. :(

Then we all just kinda did odd jobs, until they cleared all the people out for a break, and we rearranged the tables to make the dance floor.

I danced, and it was fun until the cut on my finger split open and bled. But at least in didn`t get on anything other than my hand! After that, I suddenly got really tried (crashed, basically.) and I was still feeling under the wheather. So at 11:45pm, Chris drove Gordon, Michelle, Catherine and I home.

When we got home, I styaed up and talked with Michelle and Gordon. ...Well, they talked and I listened.

Tomorrow we have an other morning CCK, and was gonna get up early again to try and get some tasks done, but I don`t know if I will.....I`m also debating buying my own flat of eggs, so that I can do all the baking I want without using the house eggs....then again, there`s also the flour issue...*shrugs*

Chisasibi Week Six: Day 2: Aug 12: Injuries and French Lessons!

Up around 7-7:30am. Made oatmael for the group and was able to use fruit this time!! I had mine with raisins, chocolate chips, PB and Honey. It was SO GOOD!!!!!!! XJ

Still feel horribly sick though.

Chris had taken one of his night`s off yesterday, so he went to Colette`s to sleep. That ment, that after everyone left for work, I was alone to clean. It was nice and peacful, and I didn`t have to talk! :P

I blogged a bit before 9am (not this entery. *rolls eyes* I`m like 3 week behind again.) then did lots of the cleaning, I blogged a bit again after (NOT THIS ENTERY) and Vince cleaned the upstairs bathroom for me. ^_^ I like it when people help out.

Lunch was more of breakfeast. XP

Then I went back to bed. Unfortunately, I never got to really fall asleep, but I did enjoy how comfy my bed was. I partically sunk into it......which isn`t normal....... *shrugs* Oh well. It was nice. >_<

But, even though my bed was super comfy, I could only lie down for an hour before I had to get up and help Talia do the cooking, `cause I felt bad about leaving her to do it herself. (Even though she slept till noon........)

So I cut up veggies for pizza, fruit for the smoothies, and did some dishes.

I also went on facebook and gto in touch with some people.........and one person I didn`t expect to......but i won`t say who! :P

Anywho, Talia and I started topping the Pizzas and she asked me to open the can of olives (the kind of can with the finger pully thing on top)but the lid wasn`t coming off. When it finally did, my pinky finger on my right hand got sliced open!!! ARGH! Chris said I needed to keep my hand above my heart so I was suddenly incapasitaded, and couldn`t do anything, which was very frusterating.  Oh yeah, it bleed a lot too. Hope you aren`t skeemish. I felt worse too, because then Talia had to make the fruit soomthies in my place, when they kinda been my pet porject. Well, them and the oatmeal.  Talia also made brownies.

Eventually I got fed up with the whole "elavate the hand thing" so I just went back to work.

Dinner  was super good pizza......with tofu....... Who know, Right?! There were the fuirt smoothies (with partically everykind of fruit) and the borwnies.

Jean Noel came over for dinner, and after the dishes were done, he gave us our 1st french lesson!!! XD
While we did that, Chris took the Francophones and they all went to help set up for the Black and Gold Gala tomorrow.

The french lesson was okay, but I got broaded pretty fast. I mean the stuff he covered was good! It was just all really basic. I drew a pretty wicked picture though. And after, Jean Noel was kind enough to stay for a bit and let me talk AT hime to partice my french.

After he left Michelle and I shared some writings. She showed me a play she`d writen for school, and I showed her the 1st two parts of The Journey. It was fun.

Then I checked FB.

Then Michelle told me about this universe she has in her head, and how its all super complicated and !!!!! She needs to make it into a series! THink Lord of the Rings and the Wheel of Time combined, then throw in a pinch Harry Potter, a dash of Twilight and a tablespoon of Si-Fi. O.o It is intense man!

But yeah, I made the stupid desion of staying up late to play risk even though I knew I needed to get up super early the next day to do daily tasks while people are still asleep, and prep potatoes for lunch.

Oh yeah, and there`s supposed to be a french activity....Haha.......Fail.

CHisasibi Week Six: Day 1: Aug 11

Woke up around 7am, supersick. All flem and soar throat, swallowing hruts, but of course I would salavate a LOT of I need to swallow my spit. *sighs* At least I don`t have toncelis!!!!! :P

Justin and Brandon were both home sick today, but up untill 11:45, Chris and I were the only two up. My morning was cleaning, putting away the trukey soup stalk, doing laundry, and going over the gorcery list. I even left drity dishes in a box by the door. (That`s what the group aggreeded was acceptable when people didn`t wash their personal snack and breakfeast dishes.)

After Talia got up, I had a shower, then cleaned the bathroom.

Lunch was two po-go sticks I found in the freeze, which I rearranged when I put the soup stalk away. They were surprisingly good, with ketkup.

Gorcery shopping went well, except that we forgot the reusable bags and went like $4 over. -.-

Back home, I didn`t do any more work, except for a few dishes, while Talia made dinner. My afternoon was occupied by reading my Bible (*shakes head* I laspsed on that one), and working on some of my stories. I got like 2 whole chapters done!!!!! There was also the occasional snack and cup of tea. ;P It was even made better by the fact that I took one of the blankets off my bed and wrapped up in it. It was SO comfy!!!!!!! >//< Seriously, there is porbably very few things more comfortable than cruling up in a blanket with a cup of tea and a book. XD

I GOT MAIL FROM REBEECA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >//<
It took a full month for ot to get here, according to the day she wrote on the letter. I wrote back right away!!!!! Now the porblem is getting it sent........(which I still haven`t done.......-.-")

Anywho, by dinner I had no voice, and I`d been sounded really weird/funny all day long.

Dinner was the super hearty french onion soup that Tailia made, it was so good!!! We had it with bread.

After dinner was free time, so I did some more writing on my stories.(I was on a roll!!!!) Then Brandon made these cinnamon puff things and I helped him put them on the pan. We were talking about food and stuff, and I remeber pepper cookies! which I hadn`t had ine ages, so I texted Dad to see if he could email me the reciepe. The Brandon and I played poker, but it kinda fizzled out with just two people.

On a more opinion oriented note, Nathan and Cindy are a couple, and it`s like watching a drama. That`s all I`m gonna say. Oh, and the whole committee not planning for the activities is getting to me. I don`t want to be a control freak and take on all the work, but I don`t like being associated with things that "fall short" of standar expectations.
